As long as no rules were broken I happily accept this W, simply because any other team could've done it too. Some have tried, but no one has played the cap and the league as masterfully as TB did.

Didnt the NHL pass a new lottery rule whereby if a team gets the #1OA pick they cant get it for the next 5 years or something

Also leafs finishing 1st in the Atlantic thats ambitious and im a fan of the team. Realistically I think they can get 2nd but 1st IDK. Also Florida IDK if they are gonna make it with Bob as their goalie, Knight had some good games but I just cant see him being the starter. Wsh will probs keep making the playoffs till Ovie retires

I've no clue but as said there there is no lottery included. This just means that BUF is the worst team. Dunno how lottery would affect their change on the 2022 1st overall pick.

I got to check cause I swear I saw somewhere they implemented a new rule to prevent another Edmonton occurring 3 1sts in a row and to also prevent a Lafreniere situation from also occurring.

"Beginning with the 2021 draft, only the first two picks will be subject to the lottery instead of the top three, and no team can move up more than 10 picks. Starting in 2022, no team will be able to win the draft lottery — for either of the first two spots — more than twice in a five-year span"

So buffalo realistically can get Power or whoever this year but next year even if they have the worst record theres a chance someone can take the 1OA pick from them via lottery.
