Détails additionnels:
This is probably wishful thinking to get a high end RD into the system. Toronto was intersted at the deadline, so maybe something can be worked out in the summer. Jackets could add more picks if needed but figured the salary retention would be more beneficial to toronto.

Why do the bruins trade for a goalie?

Tuukka and Swayman are gonna be an elite duo next two years, and by then bruins will have a replacement for Tuukka as Swaymans backup

I don't think the leafs have any intention to move liljegren, they've developed him for almost 4 years now and he'll most likely be on the team next year

I would assume MTL would offer less money but more term for Danault. i.e., 5.5 x 6.

He's an RFA, so unless the Jackets trade him, he's not going anywhere yet.

This was my logic. And i made the deal for picks, so you could easily change it to a different team that is in the market.

I struggled on the contract value and term here. No clue what the market will end up being like this offseason with the cap. Could easily see the jackets doing 6x6 maybe more depending on what Jones and Z end up with. We have the cap room and this is a absolute must to fill this role.

Agreed that is why i said wishful thinking on it. For some reason I feel like Boone is on his way out this offseason and liljegren would be the ideal return for me if we were to move him.

True, not entirely sure how RFA works but from what I understand he is not liking it in CBJ I think he just gets stuck in crap enviroments.

I’ve yet to see the reasoning why ANA would want Domi? He had one outlier season in MTL and got overpaid for it. Is he even better than Henrique or Silfverberg?

Both Jones and Werenski are getting at least $9.5 million per season, Possibly closer to $10 million per season. Neither are signing for what you're offering them.

Yeah, Columbus holds his rights until 2023, when he would become a UFA. Any team can do an offer sheet, but it's super rare, and given Laine's production this year, it would be a surprising move.

I'd assume the Jackets will replace Torts this offseason (He's been really good for them, but seems to have lost the room), which will give Laine a new look. Moving him right now would be selling low compared to what they gave up in the first place, and would be a dangerous move.

It looks like that every year lmao. Remember when he left the playoffs last season? We thought that was it...

OR

Vladar, Halak, literally any backup goalie left as a UFA

No need to trade

I don't know if you can't read but when I say 5.5 x 6 I mean 5.5 mil x 6 years. Also Danault has a pretty good plus minus for a so-called overrated centre. Obviously you don't watch any games, all you do is look at someone's stat line and think you know everything. Watch a game once in a while and tell me Danault ain't worth 5.5 mil if he can hold McDaddy to 2 goals in 6 games.

Fine, coat it anyway you want.
I would prefer to not pay my 3C 5.5 or 6 mil per.
Danault is a wonderful 3rd line, shut down center.
He is an anchor offensively in todays game. 4 goals this year and a carrer high of 13... but hey heres 6 mil per.
Montreal has more talented younger centremen that will need contracts soon. Why give your already 28 yr old 3C a 6 mil contract. Do it and they will suck, not that they are a contender now anyways.
Ok schools out... go play little one....
