Lol, I'm saying atleast half the forwards in all the NHL can do what Guentzel does.
Nothing special.
It's 87 not 59 making things happen.
Hats off to Sid, doing what a true Superstar does, making average players valuable.
If Guentzel is traded he and the acquiring team will regret it. He will show HIS VALUE.
But all hope is not lost, I mean he could land with another Superstar to carry the load for him.

J. Guentzel is not worth amy of the proposals on here.
He is overrated and atop the trade board simply due to a lack of options.
Any team acquiring Guentzel will regret it immediately.
He is small, not physical in any way, not fast, not a great skater, no big shot, average stick/puck skills. He has happen to play next to a generational talent , whom did his job, by raising the level of those around him

Do not trade for a field mouse.
He's just collecting all the crumbs left by 87.
I have no doubt Guentzels role and career are easily replicated by Max Domi, Jimmy Vescy, Scott Laughton, heck even Cal Cutterbuck offers more than Guentzel.
Big deal over very little player, pray your team stays away. He will be a bust, unless he finds really big coattails.

I compared Henrique, an expiring UFA center to two other expiring UFA centers who have been traded this year, with whom he is either pacing with or outpacing in production. Both of those centers yielded 1st round picks and more. That makes them trade comps

- pacing to 25 goals and 57 points (which would be good for 6th on NYR, outpacing Laf)

- ^all of this in spite of starting 58% of shifts in his own zone
- 17:30+ minutes per night without injury
- 1st power play and pk (admittedly on a trash team)

He has never played on the bottom line for any club in his 13+ year career, which makes him middle 6, not bottom 6

Your supposed superstar Lindholm has been rumored to get flipped to Boston because his performance in VAN has been so bad

Henrique / Vantrano are nothing more than 3rd line players. You best stick to your games on TV. You don't have many left.
Inflated # s because the play for a losing team.
They are what they are.
Henrique washed up C, but solid bottom 6
Vatrano is a career middle 6, who's having his career year. He has always shot the puck a ton.

Those are not fair trade comps for Henrique, he gets more toi than he deserves and half as much as he will get with whatever poor team acquires him.

You should watch hockey, instead of burrying your head in analytics.

Overrated. Benefits from Crosbys coattails.
That's 3 1st rounds for a rental, pure insanity.
Guentzel is small, not fast, no physical benefits.
He's a wonderful field mouse picking up all the crumbs Crosby leaves all over the ice.
Sorry, I'm amazed at the perspective of Guentzel in fans minds....
I seriously doubts he nets anything close to this, unless he signs extension.
But imo, still not worth it. Better plug him on another Superstars ( actually generational) line.
