one of those teams is the recent stanley cup loser with 5 games in hand, and the other two have been MUCH better than us this year. cbj needs to sell. if jarmo holds and we finish worse than 5th, thats a fireable offense.

What's with all the "barely settle for" prices? Shift literally every pick up a round and you're closer to asking prices. And none of this accounts for cap situations with the other teams - or actual need, in the case of the Korpisalo trade.

I agree COL could use some insurance at that position but that doesn't mean they are going to grossly overpay for one. Bernier and Reimer could be had for significantly cheaper than this

Both of those guys situations are a little sticky. Bernier is a little hurt still and I’m not sure what Carolina is going to do. I think Korpi is a better goalie than the stats are currently showing. The defense hasn’t been much help the last 2 year IMO.

Even guys like Dubnyk, Miller, Rittich, Hutton, etc could be on the table. I'm not trying to put Korpisalo down but realistically he's in the same tier as all those guys I've mentioned, and none of them will return a 1st round prospect + a 3rd. Id be fine with paying up to a 3rd for a backup G but anything more than that is just not worth it imo
