Coots is NOT being traded especially for that garbage. Giroux would have to waive his NMC so maybe VGK would work but VGK would need to send cap back so I don't see that as an option. Taking on Rask just to get a 1st and paying a 4th liner, what equates to, $6 mil per, no thanks!

Well if you read my comment above, you would see that I said they needed to send cap back. As for Glass, he is a top 10 pick from 4 years ago who has a total of 64 NHL games played which is 21st from that draft class. Could he be a top 6C sure, has he shown he is close yet...NOPE! He has been up and down from the taxi squad all year. Adding Giroux gives this team an actual 1B center if that is where they play him which is likely where they would. He would play with Patches and Stone and Vegas would likely be favored to win the Cup. If you win the Cup, the assets given up don't really matter now do they!

MN passes. They need centers, not trade them away. JVR is a LHS wing and MN has a bunch of those. He's a nice player but the wrong fit for MN.

We might not have to give up anything if we keep going the way we are. We have York and Zemula coming so I doubt we would even consider trading up for a guy who could be a couple years away. We would be more apt to go after a guy like Hamilton.
