You pay for future production not the past. He had 1 season like that. He makes the team better short run but over 7 years it’s an incredible liability.

Yeah but we’re still easily short a scoring winger still and there’s been nothing to increase the teams longevity up front with minimal prospects.. just a bad thought but who knows

For one season yeah he moves it and passed that the contract will be a liability probably.. I don’t think it’s a good fit for this team I’m just doing this cause of the rumors and seeing how it can work (partially so I can talk myself into it)

No i couldn’t care less about something that happened 5 years ago.. it’s that Toronto is the most obvious team that has a goaltending issue not in the division and the islanders can use the cap space this season somewhere else that’s it nothing malicious

Palmieri contract is 16 team NTC next offseason. Will 100% be moveable if he has a decent season. Pageau has a play style that is sustainable and having 4 quality centers is easily one of the biggest assets you can have in this league. They’ll be able to make moves they’re not gonna be as tied down as ur expecting here
