There's a reason why he was put on waivers in the first place. It has nothing to do with his play. He's a good offensive minded, puck moving d-man that shoots right, those are valuable skill sets to players. His attitude issues go way back to his junior days in Sarnia and he's shown that he's not willing to change. No professional sports team is going to care for that, even if it was McDavid. It's the same issue that's followed Connor Ingram and Ryan Merkley around too.
Best case scenario for him, his contract is terminated and he signs a bargain deal in a low key market with a team that is willing to take a final chance as long as he shapes up. Otherwise he has KHL written all over him. But no team is going to trade for a guy like that that makes that kinda money, salary retained or not.
