Bruins decline but I don't understand the rush to move Holl. He fit in the top 4 last year and I had my doubts as it was only 1 year in which he needed to play with Muzzin to be really good. He looks even better this year and is fitting in well with the top 4. Why?

A few things here.
1. Bruins wont trade carlo, especially for that.
2. No reason to trade barbie.
3. Hyman should not be traded under any circumstances. the guy is a beast. There are very few guys who bring what he does.

they will resign him. I just can't see them letting him walk, nor can I see him asking for an outrageous contract and walking. And yes we need him for playoffs.

Holl appears to be getting better every game. No rush to trade someone playing over 20+ mins a night, outstanding possession numbers, physical, and putting up points. Oh, all well being payed 2 Million. I like Carlo, but I can't see any reason for the Bruins to part ways with him.

Holl and Muzzin are an outstanding pairing. Something the leafs have been missing for ages. Hope they keep it up.

I very much hope they do resign him but I think the ball is entirely in his court. Dubas has too much cash committed to the big boys and will be wanting to free up what he can to sign Rielly, There will be a hard line from the Leafs and it'll be up to Hyman if that's acceptable or not. It has been pointed out that Hyman is apparently quite wealthy so it's plausible that he might take a team friendly discount if the term he's offered meets his demands.

I wouldn't do this at all. Holl has been great and makes only 2 million! He may have one of the best contracts in the league. No need for this.

We get it, you're a Carlo fan. So far Carlo has 1 goal and is an even rating playing over 19min per game. Holl has 5 assists and is plus 5 playing over 21 min per game. He's definitely not junk.

Agree with my fellow Leaf fans above. For some reasons, (and it been a theme for years) that Leafs Dmen are bad and that any Dmen from other team are so superior.
The post, makes no sense for Leafs moving two Dmen and getting one in return.

It certainly isn't a bad one but Holl is proving without a doubt he is a bonafide top 4 defenceman. And makes 2 million. The guys he's out performing making double his contract is large number of players.

i think its just bruins players are the best, im not saying the bruins would or should take this deal but this notion of carlo being a god is getting quite tiring

Carlo is a defensive dman (and a very good one at that). He could end the year with 0 goals and we would be happy

Its not that he is a god lol dont worry! But he is a cost controlled, young, defensive dman that had one of the better defensive ratings in the NHL last year.
No reason to move him, especially for a bunch of smaller pieces.

Maybe if we were to acquire a young top 6 winger the return could be Carlo, but even then it seems unlikely
