I think a Laine for Dubois trade as a base makes sense. I can imagine that the Jackets what a top 6 c back as part of the return so maybe a Perfetti, Roslovic and 2021 1st unprotected as another option.

Laine for PLD will never happen. Columbus’s centers would be extremely week without PLD and Laine wouldn’t fit in torts system, he scores but has no idea how to do the defence.

I really don’t get why the Jets are the ones adding to a Laine/PLD swap. A 50 goal threat with multiple 35+ goal years are more rare than 60 point centres (a mark PLD has only hit once). Laine seems far more valuable to me.

I think the mtl package fits CBJ’s needs the most. Probably would need Tatar to be extended or atleast the jackets confident that they can resign him.

But you still get Kotkaniemi and a maybe late first.

This package is exactly what I was thinking for PLD. I made a thread and people said it doesn’t make sense for CBJ as they’re in win now mode. I think it makes sense for both sides, cause I view CBJ as a team that’s retooling.

If they made a trade, Roslovic going to Columbus makes sense because Columbus would likely want a center to replace PLD but Columbus definitely adds something to PLD going the other way. Idk what because I'm not familiar with what Columbus has or what the Jets need.
