Description
These are the projections for the Canadian Division based on Dom's model. Keep in mind they are just the most likely outcome and not a projection for what the outcome will be. For example, the Leafs have a 48% chance of winning the division in his model. Chances are still the field will finish first, the Leafs just have the best individual odds of it happening. So without further ado:

1st - Leafs, 72.6 points
2nd - Habs, 66.4 points
3rd - Flames, 65.1 points
4th - Oilers, 64.1 points
5th - Canucks, 61.0 points
5th - Jets, 61.0 points
7th - Sens, 49.1 points

Last season his projections were off by an average of 7 points. With all the randomness in hockey, a 14 point swing really means just about anything can happen.

Lack of depth and defense. Their team last year was Hellebuyck and goaltending is the most volatile position in the game.

Sure but I think a full season with Demelo will help.

It’s sad that other teams fans have noticed this more than our fanbase. He is an absolute joke who just uses boomer coaching strategies and thinks it’s going to help. Like literally the team was so bad last year and hellebuyck was the only reason it wasn’t that bad

He and Trouba seemed like legit #1D when together, neither has found his groove apart. Hopefully they can find partners that compliment their skills going forward.

Its scary that the Jets org actually thinks Helle can repeat that season with goaltending being the most volatile position.
If Helle isnt lights out, the Jets are a bottom feeder. Their forwards are great but don't exactly support a very weak defence!

Leafs, Habs, Flames are the class of the division. Not surprising. Oilers and Jets have big questions marks defending. Canucks depth is questionable though I think Quinn/Petey are the best duo in the division and could use their mojo to sneak into that 4th spot
