Okposo is a pretty big contract to eat for 3 years. I think the Kings would consider that deal, but I don't think they'd send back Wagner.

Wings pass. Glendening is good on ok and faceoffs and Hutton had a 3.18 gaa and below .900 save percentage.

I've been going back and forth for the past 10 minutes on whether I think the Kings would do this. I came to pretty much the same conclusion that you did, where that contract is too heavy to send back an NHL-ready roster player. Man, that #8 pick is pretty tempting though, especially with the players that could still be available. I think it would a draft-floor trade with the Kings waiting to see who falls to #8. But if the sticking point was Wagner, with one of Raymond or Holtz being available, I think LA would pull the trigger.

The last year or two he will probably be on LTIR he's had concussion problems for awhile now. I'd do it in a heart beat considering Kings could be drafting Holtz. Kings can always buy Okposo out in a year or two.

I'm just not sure if BUF does it, they don't need cap space desperately.

I agree. I was looking at the buyout of the last year, which turns into $3.3mil (for 2022-23) and $1.3mil (for 2023-24) cap hit and that's what swayed me into saying that the Kings would probably do it.

Also agree that this is something that's fun to think about, but likely won't happen. If Buffalo gets Tyler Johnson/Petro, though, they'll need to shed salary elsewhere. So it's not completely out of the realm of possibility. Especially if they actually are willing to shell out 10mil for Petro.

Glendening @900k is great value for a 4C. Hutton is a cap dump, so why does Detroit do this? If LAK don’t do the Trade I’m sure Yzerman would be interested.

I wouldn't be opposed to the Ghost for Risto deal, but that would assume the Flyers also are able to move JVR without bringing a lot of salary back. It's a good "hockey trade" change of scenery for those guys, but again, more would need to be done to accomodate Risto's additional salary based on cap space and remaining RFA's/UFA's to sign for Philly
