Tuukka stays Krug leaves

Créé par: hines10

Date de création initiale: 2 sept. 2020

Description
Forwards:
Hopefully a full season of Kase allows him to click with the Bruins on Coyle's right side. DeBrusk is back on a short deal similar to the RFA deals McAvoy and Carlo signed last offseason. The new addition is Toffoli, who should finally (hopefully) give Krejci a RW who can constantly find the back of the net. Studnicka should have a role on the bottom six and shouldn't see a second of Providence next year. Ritchie is dumped.

Defenseman:
Chara retires. Krug who has constantly stated family is no. 1 priority goes home to Detroit on 7yr/$58m deal. Grzelcyk resigns on a short RFA deal for slightly less than Carlo signed last year ($2.85m cap hit). To replace Krug and Chara, Gustafsson and Dillion are brought in. Both players have better 5v5 rates than Krug the past two seasons which should hopefully help the Bruins even strength play. Gustafsson slots in next to Carlo as he takes a majority of his face-offs in the offensive zone, like Krug. Grzelcyk takes Krug's place as PP1 QB and Chara's spot next to McAvoy, which is a dominant pairing. Moore is traded for salary relief.

Goalies:
Tuukka might retire, but if he returns it should be to Boston. The one more year left on his contract aligns perfectly with the one last chance for the Bruins to make a run for the cup.

Lauzon is a LHD, so no need to bring in TWO LHD, get rid of Gust.
Studnicka isnt playing the 4th line, that will kill his development
2 years might not be right for debrusk or griz, but whatever

Not bad!

If Krug walks, your team needs a top 4 LHD replacement. Lauzon definitely isn’t that. Without krug, and a retired Chara, Boston’s D will go from among the best to pretty average

Trust me, any team that needs to round out their top 6 defense will gladly take him for free. Its a free roster player.

Lmao free? Playing 2.75mil x 3 yr with two years of frozen cap isn’t free, especially for an AHL/ borderline NHL caliber player

( @leafs_and_sens_fan)

( @McGruff @bhavikp27 @McRanteskog @hines10 @csick @OldNYIfan @sevenleg )
Lol this guy wont stop so im gonna settle this right here right now.

OVER 3 YEARS:

https://stathead.com/hockey/pcomp_finder.cgi?request=1&sum=1&player_id1_hint=John+Moore&player_id1_select=John+Moore&player_id1=moorejo01&idx=hr__players&p1yrfrom=2018&p1yrto=2020&player_id2_hint=Jack+Johnson&player_id2_select=Jack+Johnson&player_id2=johnsja02&idx=hr__players&p2yrfrom=2018&p2yrto=2020

Jack Johnson is 4 years OLDER than John Moore
Jack Johnson is on a weaker and less deep PIT defense (meaning more opportuinity), while missing only 5 games over the past 3 years, Moore is fighting with 7 other guys for top 6 time and has missed nearly 25 games to injury and more to Lauzon and Clifton and Griz... Yet they have the SAME AMOUNT OF POINTS
Johnson has a NEGATIVE OPS, Moores isnt good, but its POSITIVE
Johnson is a -11 and Moore is a +1

IM NOT SAYING MOORE IS GOOD, but we all know FOR A FACT that John Moore is NOT like Jack Johnson and is NOT a cap dump.

So no more "opinions" bud, start using facts like the rest of us do.

Chicago is in Cap trouble. Ritchie does nothing for them. They need 2 goalies and to sign Strome and Kubalik.

Moore is actually quite serviceable as a 2nd pair D on a team that is struggling. He’s be better than 4 of 6 of Toronto Dmen.

Either you have never watched Moore play or you're overrating Johnson. Not a Moore fan and I'm not that confident when he plays but saying Johnson is better is just stupid. Maybe you should watch other teams play rather than just watch one team.

He's a #6D, Johnson isn't even an #8th. That's like saying Compher > Landeskog.

Lmao, damn, struck a nerve huh?
You actually wanna get into a debate of bottom pairing Dman? Seriously? Move along

May not watch a ton of PIT / BOS games but you are taking a pretty homer stance right now

Well, don't say stupid stuff and we won't. It's not being homer, ask people that know hockey, they will let you know what happens in the other conference.

Johnson sucked in February when he had to move up at LD1 for Dumoulin with Letang and that's the reason PIT had to play in the play-in. How many goals against because of Johnson in the play-in? A lot.

I live in TO, I catch a fair share of Atlantic division hockey, don’t you worry.

I’ll admit that Moore’s defensive numbers were better than Johnson’s, no doubt, my issue is that Moore played about 30% of the minutes Johnson did.

Look at Moore’s career, all the injury’s.
He’s been in the league 10 seasons, I’ll deduct his rookie year (played 2 games) so let’s call it 9 seasons. In 9 seasons he played 70+ games only 3 times (12-13 short year he was hurt, this years short season he was hurt)

Any advantage Moore has for being better than Johnson is quickly nullified by the fact HES ALWAYS INJURED.

Make sense?

Lindholm doesn’t need to be bought out. Like the Toffoli and Dillon signings.

The problem is, its isnt the truth. Its literally the opposite of the truth. I literally just proved that Moore is much better, with facts.
Why cant yall get facts in your head damn.

In saying that, their defense DOESNT become "pretty average", still got Mcavoy, Carlo, Clifton down the right side, and still got x, Griz, Lauzon down the left side. Not bad. But yeah that x has to be someone ok

Reason #1 Moore didn't play was because of our depth. He's the #8D on the depth chart. PIT do have 7 better dmen but for whatever stupid reason, Sullivan keeps him in the lineup.
You don't want Jack Johnson for 82 games.

Lol @bhavikp27 him and @Bf3351 literally just dont care to read all that I wrote (which was all real and true). Its pointless to continue arguing with them

I read all of it and as I stated before, none of that has anything to do with a team taking Moore and his contract for free. You completely ignore the flat cap. I'm starting to wonder if you are John Moore, are you?
