I don't think you've thought this through very well. If Pittsburgh can sell off a goalie or two and effectively replace them with a UFA, that means every other team can also go the UFA route to grab an effective NHL goalie rather than giving a pile of assets to Pittsburgh.
Take your Edmonton trade for instance: they could use that pick on Askarov, who has a far higher ceiling than Jarry, and pick up a UFA to backup Koskinen - say, Thomas Greiss. Just like that Edmonton has similar goaltending (with more experience) than your proposal and much better goaltending in the future. And they didn't give up Puljujarvi, who has the potential to be the best player in the deal, and Benning who is a very effective RHD.
Result: Edmonton is better on the short term, better in the medium term and better in the long term.
