Most Leafs will probably disagree with me, but I guarantee you Quick will be better for you in the playoffs than Andersson. Don't see the Kings doing this though.

I wonder if you ever watch hockey, assuming that the Leafs have a swedish goalie that they don't

No thanks to that cap hit

Would you rather have Jonathan Quick or Matt Murray?

Kings are happy with Quick. I don't think they'll move him. Bernstein went so far as to say that the Kings would give up an asset or two to convince Seattle not to select a goaltender in the expansion draft. You don't do that if you're looking to trade your franchise goaltender.

Quoting: Dennis Bernstein
“They like that tandem [Quick + Petersen], and they like the depth of this organization so much. They will incentivize Seattle not to pick a goaltender. They’d be willing to give up one or two assets to keep this in place.”

No. you might not know this if you are not from one of those countries or from a country around those countries,

but when someone is Danish, he is most likely AnderSEN and when someone is Swedish, he is most likely AnderSON or AndersSON

And Freddie is Danish

Which is hard for you, beacuase Amercians tend to pronounce those names exactly the same

that's hilarious, they should be doing everything they can to get out from under that contract, especially if someone offers a better goalie who is paid less

Why? Quick is a leader, a team guy, fan favorite, and everything they want in a mentor for the kids on the team. They don't need the cap space, so why would they try and move his contract? Petersen will take over as the starter in 2021-22 (he'll be Quick's backup for one more season), and will only be making six-figures. They're still paying less on their goaltending tandem than most teams in the league,

Quick actually played exceptionally well over the last couple months of the season, compiling a 2.27 GAA and .923 SV% since Jan 1, despite still playing behind the 30th ranked Kings. He's not going to get another Vezina nomination, but he's still got some game left in him.

because it's never a bad time to move bad salary. It's one thing to not go searching to move it when you dont have to, it's another to do it when someone is giving you an out.
And any goaltender on any team can put up a good run for a few months, it's not impressive. He's bad, and he'll keep getting worse.

See I just think Quick's game is a product of his team. I don't think its a bad salary, and if thats true with the Kings, I think they are foolish. They have a TON of picks who wont be prime time for 2 years and Quick expires. Only argument is having these guys around to mentor the young guys... I think the Leafs answer in net is one of Crawford Quick and Holtby over the next three years... I think Lehner is Freddie 2.0 which isn't bad... but he will cost more.

suprised nobody ****ing about the added vets... I would love the bottom 6 to be filled out like this, or with these types of players... Corey Perry, Patrick Maroon, some old grizzled vets with Stanley Cup finals experience that can put the puck in the net and play with grit.
