Description
JUST FOR FUN FOLKS
In his podcast, he said that although GMJR said he wouldnt move Malkin and Letang, he would listen to offers if he was him. He says Letang to TOR and Malkin to MTL are two things that make sense to him. He says that Guerin wants to improve his netminding, so Murray is an option for the Wild. Finally, he says that due to changes to arbitration and cap, the Sabres might not qualify Montour, so this trade could help both teams.

If we were to keep our team the same this offseason, I do not know if were a playoff team. League has so much parity and you need to play consistently all year long if you wanna make it. I do think these trades make us a little weaker for 1-2 seasons, but the assets we get in the retool would be really good. I still think this team is much more competitive and I feel like the depth is a little better maybe.

Find another home for Bjugstad. I’m don’t see Montreal taking on his cap hit along with Malkin’s

Friedman is the best insider in the business, but when it comes to Montreal, and predicting what they want to do or how their team is run, he usually doesn’t have a clue.

Him guessing Malkin to Montreal has as much weight as any random hockey fan.

If you have watched the games against MTL, you've seen that KK is already better than Malkin smile
No need for him.

Though in some alternate universe all this could happen, how can you not include JJ in any of those moves!

Disagree completely, they probably beat Montreal if they just sit Murray and Johnson from the start. Major changes aren’t necessary and the core is proven to be capable of winning

Murray was not the issue... JJ was not great, but neither were most guys. A lot of people underperformed..

...and now injuries are coming out. I stand by what I said, people wanted to blow it up just before they won back go back. That never works, you need 2-3 retool trades around the core. Malkin/Letang will finish their contracts in Pittsburgh

Murray for a RW or picks you can move for one, Bjugstad for a third pair defenseman both are realistic and make a ton of sense while improving the team.

IMO the two issues that stood out was the third line not able to generate anything & JJ-Schultz getting under siege in their own end killing the momentum for the team. If the coach tried to fix those issues, it’s a different series.

Find another home for Bjugstad again. Detroit fans are tired of looking at that scenario. It’s beyond a joke for us.

I think Murray and Bjugstad to Minnesota makes sense. I heard Friedman talk about Domi to Pens because his family and Lemieux are friends. If you listen to what GMJR said Domi makes some sense as a LW to Pit. I assume the Geno to Montreal stuff is based on Kovalchuk loving it there and wanting to go back, and the fact that Geno and Kovey being buddies, so I wouldn't put any stock in that.

Far from a deal breaker. Just saying he’d prolly have to go in a separate deal for cap reasons
