If I'm Carolina, only way I'm trading Dougie extended to Toronto is in a package for Thews. We have no need for more playmakers, so either Sandin + Nylander ++ or Hamilton + some pieces for Thews would be the only way Toronto land him

Not Necas, he has potential to be basically a mini-thews. Not as high totals, but the same kind of player with better skating. I'd look more at Dougie + TOR 1st + Rees + Suzuki + Anntoni Honka + some other younger pieces etc etc. Necas + Dougie for Thews alone pushes Carolina WAY further back in it's push for a cup. It would be one or the other.

Philly doesn’t need Kerfoot Values probably ok though. We still have question marks in Lindblom and Patrick and a few prospects close to transitioning so adding a forward isn’t a need.

Absolutely terrible trades for the Leaf. Holl just might be better than the current edition of Manson and is 2.1m cheaper. Too much to give up for one year of Hamilton. Trading top 4 Dermot for nothing

I know you are just expressing different ideas, I do it too, but try to think a little more into each trade. It's safe to say that Carolina is a contender and trading away there best defenseman will not only take them out of contention, but it'll probably take out there attendance as well. Which is the last thing a franchise like that needs after years of hurting for attendance and now the Coronavirus.
