Montreal declines both.
Drouin because he’s French and rnh is too old for the core and will cost a boat load
And Gallagher because a bad first and third isn’t worth it(and yes he’s a rental) but we’d rather keep him

I'd say yes to: Drouin and Gallagher for Nuge and Lavoie

I hate thought of dealing nuge but cost certainty with drouin is big part. Gallagher is pure rental.

Why? A meh prospect and a rental. Either rnh leaves and we end up with squat or he sign for huge, and takes time and space form kids

I don't see Drouin progressing. Looks to me like he's regressing rather. Very Galchenyuk-esque.
RNH is a good top 6 forward with a nice 200 foot game, who's actually a center (that's a plus)
Gallagher will age badly, guys that play like him usually do and I don't want a Anders Lee situation happening.
Lavoie is a 6 foot 4 guy that can score and will score. Sure he's got issues defensively, but it's not better or worse than Drouin.
Plus it creates leverage for the GM when it comes to signing guys.

Drouin was paying his best hockey before the injury.
Rnh is probably going to be a rental or will get a huge contract that won’t age well(at least Gallagher might get 4 years)
If Lavoie was that good he wouldn’t be a 2 rounder. His hockey bipolar. One game he’s ovechkin the next he’s weal. I’d say press your luck and get an a level prospect that envolves a gallagher extension. It makes zero sense to acquire rnh

Between nuge and drouin they fill voids in respected rosters. I honestly see it as a situation habs are taking advantage of oilers. Habs have the cap flexibility oilers don’t to give nuge an extension. That’s why I had to separate the trades with Gallagher thinking of it all as one deal didn’t sit right

Drouin have terms not RNH
Gallagher won’t be trade as a rental, he’s gonna resign with MTL are trade to a team with an extention and will cost something like what we got for Pacioretty

I'm not seeing the benefit for Columbus here. Sure, prospects are nice, but the areas in which we have the most and/or highest quality prospects are C and G, and we have zero need for LDs in any shape or form. Unless there's a truly amazing blue-chipper in that package that I just somehow haven't heard of, there's not much point.

How on earth does Nuge fill a void? The only void he might fill is the one created by trading away Drouin. And I don’t know if he’s as effective on the wing, but if not, adding Nuge just creates more problems for the team.

No way ottawa does this package. Maybe they do do AA for two seconds
Edmonton needs to retain in order for detroit to take that
that 1 for 1 is terrible for the oilers, They just get worst defensively
The only way Edmonton does that deal for gallagher is if he signs an extension
No way korpisalo is worth that much
Calgary doesn't accept

I don't think Edmonton trades lavoie given that he's edmonton best forward prospect

The idea here is: win now with Drouin and Gallagher rather than win later with Lavoie, but okay, respectable opinion

Only reason trading nuge and drouin even came up was cap related. Nuge will cost more and deservingly so. Gallagher is more of a mid season deal if becomes a rental option. Pure rental habs can have an extension worked out for him. Ottawa trade I thought worked out well for both clubs. Sens draft two top picks then use third first on JP. It’s not hard to see why his nhl career was derailed he was stabled to Lucic in a depth role on a pathetically run team at the time. He’s since shown why he was a top pick. 2 seconds between two drafts allows Ottawa to use some for more nhl ready bodies. AA went for that at deadline. Giving JJ shouldn’t be overlooked either he’s solid role player kills penalties also has shown flashes of being a really solid player. All three picks land them instant on ice return. Detroit trade is a salary dump but Detroit is getting 3 players who will upgrade the team from last year for 2 thirds. In the short term neal can be very helpful they have the cap space before that contract becomes an issue there they will have options like expansion draft to part with it. Columbus deal I was just looking for a good young back up if not possible maybe look at signing Howard to a one year deal.

Haas and Nygard are an upgrade over who? Haas is 28 and still bouncing between the AHL and NHL. Nygard is a 27yr old rookie who has spent more time on IR than he has playing. So why does a rebuilding team give up 2 3rds for these 2?

Both of them played reasonably well with Edmonton help fill out bottom six and Neal is included and capable of playing either wing in a top six role and add net front presence on pp unit. 3 roster options 20-25 goals for two thirds seems very reasonable
