Date de création initiale: 17 mai 2020

Description
The Rangers need to shed Smith, as his trade protection is less restrictive than Staal or Lundqvist. With this move, the Rangers get cap space, the Devils get needed RW depth and a nice pick, and Smith doesn't have to relocate himself and his family.

The Sharks need a starter, and Georgiev is one of the best bets available. In exchange, the Rangers get a buy low candidate in Labanc who can fit on a contenders top six alongside a pair of midround picks.

Andersson is done in NY.

On FA, McKegg returns as the 13th man and a locker room guy, and Janmark is a great buy-low bounce-back candidate.

Expansion protection: Panarin, Zibanejad, Buch, Chytil, Kreider, Labanc, Strome; Deangelo, Trouba, Hajek or Lindgrin; Lundqvist (Shesterkin is exempt)

He has a better SP than guys like Price and Andersen this season, alongside more wins than goalies getting attention for awards like Merzlikens. He has the chops to be a starter in the NHL.

Ottawa isn't the team to bet on Andersson. No way he's good enough to beat out Ottawa's young forwards.

I couldn't agree more. can not afford to go after a top UFA Goalie anyway. This trade makes a lot of sense to me, and I've suggested it many times here. The Sharks have no chance of being a playoff team next season w/o addressing their most glaring need. This trade will also allow the Rangers to keep Henrik for the last season of his contract.

The Lias Andersson trade doesn't make enough sense to me to pull the trigger. I think they'll need at least a 2nd rounder for him considering how high they drafted him a couple years ago. He still has NHL potential in the right organization and the odds of a 3rd rounder even making the NHL are slim.

I think Chlapik and Balcers make the team.

I don't think Andersson is an NHL player

And? Jack Campbell had the 3rd best SV% of goalies last year. Does that make him a starter? Andersen and price have garbage D-cores in front of them. Your "stats" here are completely skewed in favor of Georgiev

I think he needs to adjust his expectations. If he couldn't crack the Rangers roster when they had one of the league's weakest bottom 6's, he's probably not gonna make it anywhere yet. He needs to develop into a 2-way Forward, b/c his offensive skills are not NHL-caliber. Maybe a team like DET, BUF, or MIN could take a shot on him, but I def. don't see him in OTT.

I think he goes to Europe for a few years. Maybe he comes back at 24-25 as a more mature player.

A 2021 3rd is so low a price for a former 6OA that I think I would accept this if I were Ottawa.

We can loan him for a year somewhere to mature if need be, he doesnt have to stay in Belleville. He played in Frolunda (EK/Alfie did), we could send him back there for a year to mature, and try him back on a 1-2 year try out in 2021/2022

I think he has been given ****ty roles and ****ty ice time. (like 9mins a night, majority defensive zone starts, **** linemates)

Y'all are clutching your draft picks waaaaay too much. We have 14 picks in the top 3 rounds in the next 2 years.

Considering how off the contracts are, this team is very clearly over the cap.

Only trade Rangers really consider here is for Labanc.

We get it trigger fingers, you don't like Georgiev. Even though you probably never even seen him play! Kid has skill, cool as a cucumber and apparently one of the best technical goalies. Either way, you'll have to continue disliking him as a NYR.
Skewed in NYR favour?!? Complete mishmash of kids that have never played together or even in the NHL lol.
A starter, on a down year, with the already dynasty TML, as opposed to NYR rebuild year. lol, or like you would say wtf...

jeez. I guess I have NEVER seen a rangers game even though I watched more than 20 of them this year.
Did you know that campbell is cool and skilled and all that ****. This is ridiculous. This is stupider then Kapanen for Georgiev.

I'm not
You literally liked a post in which someone said that Georgiev can't be compared to Andersen and Carey because those 2 have bad d-cores in front of them (which is true)

Yet the fact is that the Rangers' defensive system is so bad that we literally allow 30+ shots per game VERY often.

So yes, Georgiev can be compared to Price and Andersen because all 3 of them play behind garbage d-cores/defensive structure. Deal with it, Georgiev is a starter

Campbell could replace Andersen if he leaves as a UFA (likely)
If it had to be done, I'd honestly do it this offseason and sign Greiss or Khudobin

What? Campbell got those numbers last year, as in on the 2nd worst team in the league, aka Los Angeles.
As for skewed stats, they are 100% skewed. They are cherry picked to make Georgiev look better then he actually is. "Had a better SV% then Andersen and Price," by 1% and 25 less games played. "More wins then Merzlikins," ok they had 8 OT/SO losses and he had a better save percentage. Basically OP is choosing some facts and ignoring others.
