I think any team would WANT Drouin. EDM is a good fit. A somewhat crazy idea is that they try to get another Finnish RFA after missing Aho, and package Drouin along with picks/prospects for Rantanen. If the Leafs had room/assets I'd gladly take him.

I dont care about veterans not getting points. Drouin is out of position, turning over pucks, he was responsible for at least one goal against tonight. He did not create a single chance.

Move him for a dman who can play the powerplay and not be a liability.

The theme with the young guys Montreal has coming up is hockey sense. They are also solid defensively (Suzuki and Poehling both killing penalties and can handle defensive responsibilities.) Drouin can't doesnt have those traits.

Drouin as the centre piece doesn't even sniff at at what it would cost to get Rants....not even close. You are involving guys like Kotkaniemi in any potential trade if Avs wanted to do it.
