I dont see anything on the NYR roster that could interest MTL (of course guys like Kakko/Kratsov would but NYR wont trade them) Poehling's value is very hight right now I dont see a team overpaid for him.

Poehling will go into training camp with a lot of confidence. The only game hie played was a meaningless game but geez he reminded me of Matthews first game....and not just the four goals.

Poehling has 3 NCAA (was playing NCAA at 18 years old) full season under his belt + U20 MVP. I'm not saying his hat trick means he is the next great thing. The comparaison with Stepan is pointless. The comparaison with Matthews is pointless too. For me, his hat trick just solidify his statu of solid prospect that will play for sure in the NHL. His floor his 3rd line center. His roof (potential again) is not clear. The only conclusion we can make after his first game is that he will play in the NHL. And yes, his value right now is hight

Well its obvious hes going to be an NHLer at some point, but it shouldnt mean teams should be lining up to rob themselves
