Brian Elliott a signé un contrat de 1 ans d'une valeur de 2 000 000 $ avec les Flyers de Philadelphie, le 26 juin 2019. Le contrat comporte un cap hit de 2 000 000 $.
Good deal for both sides. Can act as a mentor to Hart, numbers weren't terrible last year. If he can stay healthy and play 35 ish games, this deal looks good!
When Moose got back from injury, he played his heart out to keep his job. When Cam Talbot arrived via trade, Moose didn't complain. He just kept making saves. Glad for Moose.

Elliot will be better next year I can count on it with Philly's new and improved D core
Primed for a bounceback season from this former Jennings Trophy winner. Solid deal!
Only thing I wonder about is if they should sign him to another year or two to allow someone to meet the expansion draft exposure criteria at the goalie position. A 2y/$5M ($2.5M AAV) would have satisfied that.

I couldn't agree more. And what a steal of a contract. Low cap hit and only a 1 year deal. Just gives the Flyers more time to develop Carter Hart a little more and have a proper work load.

He's gonna provide a solid Save % of around .910 w/PHI, whom I'd think it's fair to say is a below average defensive team. I don't know why EDM, CHI, or even SJS wouldn't go after him. I realize those teams are in a cap crunch, but their goalie stats from last season were abysmal.

He got off to a deplorable start to the season. Much of that can be blamed on PHI's terrible defensive play. And they were really bad. Remember that trip to Western Canada right before the coaching change? It was ugly. I'd expect a big time bounce back season from PHI. They should be playoff contenders...at least, right?

Let me get this straight you signed a 2M 1-Yr Contract with a guy who's last game he played for them he gave up 4 Goals on 5 Shots in 7 Minutes with the whopping totals of .200 Sv% and a 34.28 GAA.....what a steal of a contract, I'll tell ya.
