Don't see Tolvanen being included in any trade that involves Shattenkirk. NSH loses the trade in value with quite a big margin.

Just curious why I have seen like 30+ Namestnikov to COL proposals. Was something leaked that I missed? I dont see the connection?

Idk I don't see Subban as that much of a homerun either, coming off a brutal year at that cap hit isn't exactly too enticing to many teams. I see this trade as Shattenkirk, Vesey, and Pionk for Subban and Kreider and the 2nd (possible first) for Tolvanen.

Still Subban is much better than Shatty, who has already started declining. Vesey and Pionk are pretty much unnecessary, considering they already have their lower line wingers and d-men solved. Plus you gotta note that Vesey has already once declined playing in NSH when he was drafted there, meaning that Preds GM Poile might not want him back...

Also other thing you gotta note is that the only reason why NSH would move Subban is to save money. In this trade they don't save money at all, it's vice-versa actually. They lose money on potential UFAs and bad contracts.

Preds can do better than this.

Brutal trade for Nashville. I understand Subban had a very bad season, but you can't just fleece them like that

2 rentals (won't have the capspace to re-up them with Josi + granlund + Smith needing contracts as well since shattenkirk is involved there isn't any tangible cap savings going from subban to shattenkirk), 1 ok but overpaid dman, Poink isn't needed if Shattenkirk is involved since that puts one of those two as the #7dman then Nashville sends 1 of its top 2 dmen and its top wing prospect.

Doesn't work for Nashville:
Kreider is a nice piece but would be purely a rental b/c Shattenkirk's contract along w/ Granlund and Josi's contract extensions would tie up the majority of the available cash reserves.
Vesey is a pure rental and after he passed up Nashville coming out of college, I don't think Poile would be keen on bringing him over.
Shattenkirk/Poink - one becomes 7th dman (Poink) the other an overpaid 3rd pairing (Shattenkirk)

1 year at 4m, that’s too much even if it is the avs 3rd. At 4m you can find another guy like that in ufa easily, just don’t see a sound reason for this move, he’s a lesser version of Söderberg at almost similar cap hits, just young

That trade is awful for Nashville. I also don’t see Shattenkirk waiving for Nashville. He’d want a team where he could at least make the line up. Someone like vancouver who’s week at RD.
