These Simmons trades in the past month are getting somewhat silly, going be historical past trades. A good Evander Kane was traded for a second and fourth (26 in each round) and Statsny 1st and 4th (27th in each round.

You can't predict future trades based on past returns. I think you also probably don't understand how Wayne Simmonds is viewed as a player and a person to be able to gauge his return value.

I think a lot of fans get so wrapped up in stats and don't understand the impact of leadership and team chemistry in general. Evander Kane isn't exactly known as bleeding team blood day in and day out...Simmonds is.

I would think Edmonton might be interested if they can string together some wins soon

I just don't see Simmonds fetching the Flyers a 1st as part of a deal, from any team. I would think a deal of Kevin Fiala and a 2nd for Simmonds would do it.

You think Simmonds is worth 2 firsts? NSH gave up a first to get Hartman now adding him to another first to get Simmonds.

I’m sure someone will. Just won’t be Boston.

What Nashville paid 2 years ago for Hartman doesn't equate to a 1sts today because Hartman didn't reach his 1st round pick potential today. A player is only worth what they are playing like today and the fit for the other team. Objectively, hartman and late 1st rounder for simmonds is pretty equal based on their current play.

Hartman was never worth a first and that trade happened last season. Not 2 seasons ago. Your Hawks made out great in that trade.

Hartman was never worth a first and that trade happened last season. Not 2 seasons ago. Your Hawks made out great in that trade.

Sorry last season. Agree, Hartman was never worth a 1st but he filled a big hole on Nashville's team so they paid handsomely to fill that hole.

And Tomas tater was trade for a first round pick + secound round pick +third round pick

How about trying to compare the same thing? Kane, Stastny and Simmons were/are on expiring contracts. Tatar had 3 full seasons and the remaining few months of the 17/18 season.

I think it’s also worth pointing out Stasny plays center ice while Kane and Wayne play the wing. Centermen will always bring a higher return because they are a rarer commodity especially mid season.
