Auston Matthews and Leon Draisaitl both have .98 points per game percentages over the last 3 seasons....I know Matthews is better but saying Draisaitl and Matthews have the same value is less insane than saying the Oilers would have to give up Draisaitl with the best player on earth, 3 first round picks AND take two cap dumps to get him. Get real guys....I have a 7 year old son that I'm taking to his first leaf game tomorrow. In the car tonight, he proclaims "Dad, the leafs should trade nylander for mcdavid". Now...he's 7 and just getting into hockey and discovering players around the league...but does anyone ever stop on here to think that, maybe there's a 9 year old kid on here posting this stuff...and he gets trolls just slamming him and calling him stupid.

Matthews reminds me of the other Leaf former 1st Overall pick, Wendel Clark (other than Clark had leadership and played with heart and soul, meanwhile we still haven't found a pulse on Matthews during the spring time), someone who is the savoir, the goal suck hero, the injury prone superstar who'll probably fizzle and fade away before he hits 30 and retire by 35 years old. And never wins any Trophies or Cups(other than the Calder, though Clark should have won the Calder Trophy too and Clark should have won a Cup with the Avs, instead of demanding a trade in the summer leading up to the Avs Cup winning season)
