Highly unlikely you get positive value for Dvorak, let alone a 2nd + another pick

LA definitely isn’t moving Byfield

This is probably the worst proposal involving Dvorak that I've seen. You are delusional if you think Montreal is getting positive value for him. If you want him off your roster so bad, it costs to dump him. Chicago isn't doing Montreal any favors by buying their trash.

LA isn't moving Byfield. They will extend him at a 2 or 3 year bridge deal or sign him already long term after that season. But you can be sure that the bridge deal isn't going to worth only 925.000 AAV, this is pretty much what he is earning right now with his ELC. Why would he agree to earn that for two more seasons at a team that is arguably not going to clinch a playoff spot in the next few years. He can easily ask for over 3,5 Mil AAV at a bridge deal or over 7 Mil AAV when signing long term with the Kings...
I also don't see Toffoli going back to the Habs, he is in his best years and can go to any contending team, maybe even back to the Kings, if the Kings don't sign Arvidsson after the season

Toffoli was traded from both Calgary and New Jersey because he wants a long term deal. Calgary wasn't willing to commit to any more long term deals on 30+ players due to the teams uncertainty, and New Jersey will be short on cap space in the coming years. You aren't getting him to sign for 2 years only and with some of Montreal's other contract commitments I don't suggest they offer him the term he wants.

If he doesn't stay in Winnipeg I think he will end up in Chicago

Also that's not remotely close to getting you Byfield

This is the same narrow minded thinking I heard with Joel Armia, over last Summer, who now has a better goals per game pace on everyone with the Hawks, not named Bedard (16 goals in 59 games) Armia buyout was under 1m even IF he didnt have this bounce back season. The Habs dumped Petry, Hoffman, Pitlick and Edmundson for positive value last Summer. Hughes is very good at this thing called GM'ing. He can definitely get value for a faceoff center with penlaty killing prowess. The only one dreaming is YOU, thinking he cant do it with Dvorak on a site that is hypothetical, no less.
Now the Habs can sell him at the 2025 TDL for positive value as he has intangibles teams covet..penalty killing, size, playoff pedigree.

All this could be true of Dvorak at little risk with a year term but I realize 95% of players not on the Hawks are cap dumps yet Dickinson, Tyler Johnson and Beauvilier, somehow, were picked up with the same thinking. You arent on the Hawks management team and they have a history and need for salary. Stay mad.
