If OTT manages to bring in Thomas via OS or trade, that should be an indication to Brady that OTT management wants to make Brady happy by bringing in his friend (who is also a very talented player that can help them be more competitive) -- so that would give him more incentive to sign with the club. In a scenario where Thomas ends up in OTT, I only see Brady signing.

IMO, Brady, like his brother want to be UFA ASAP. The reported 8m X 8 years offer is fine, but I'm sure Brady is looking for a shorter deal.
New Jersey won't be playoff good for a few years, so I don't see them wanting to trade long term futures for a guy who will be "walking" just as the Devils are getting good.
Personally I think Ottawa is great fit for Brady. But as we have seen, RFA shave been using more leverage to get their contracts tailored to UFA sooner rather than the the traditional 3 years ELC and then an eight year contract.

I think Thomas OS is a great move for OTT but I think they don’t want to see Norris or Timmy OS as retaliation in the future lmao
