I really can't see any way of doing things better than this. Congrats Dubas, you overpaid Marner and Matthews after they had accomplished precisely NOTHING and now you get the rewards. The move to make her is 100% to move Marner but Dubas just loves his guys so much that there is no chance he'll ever do it.

Knowing Yzerman, he's going to have something amazing going for Bertuzzi. Like he did with Mantha.

The assets offered here are ok, but still pretty meh and they don't really fill a certain need.

Amirov+1st sounds much closer to the truth.

Note, I'm not saying the value is inherently bad. I'm saying that Yzerman is likely going to get a better offer.
