Idk why people think Jarnkrok is all of a sudden a center on this team?

You can always find the guys that are exception to the rule. 6th round picks seldom make the NHL but it is possible.

Idk why Cade Webber is an NHL player now if ever? The leafs got him for a 6th round pick and he makes the team next year. If he was that good the Canes would have received more from someone else.

What we learned about the Leafs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Leafsfan98</b></div><div>JT got into it more than Reaves did, so your logic is brutal for the rest</div></div>
JT was getting roughed up by Tkachuk and Montour and Benoit comes to cover his back, a scrum breaks out. Than you see off to the side JT fixing his helmet well his team is out numbered in the scrum. JT is the perfect example of the worst captain in the league. JT= no emotion, no backing teammates. Is this a guy that you follow into the playoff battle, the answer is no.

Game 1 vs Boston
Is McMann going to be ready for game1? If McMann is healthy Robertson isn't getting in unless they are down 2-0 in games. Reaves plays over Dewar. The d-core looks about right. Following your so called leader JT into battle when he has the emotion of a meth addict and the heart the size of a chipmunk isn't a confident look.

Playoff Lines Going Into Boston
Holmberg has been solid at 3C and is a true center. Line3- jarnkrok-Holmberg-Nylander Line4- Knies-Kampf-Reaves/Dewar. Dewar has done nothing in my opinion to have a start in the playoffs.

If Rielly is on the top pairing on the PK the leafs must be down to 2 d-men. He has the lowest hockey IQ in the d-zone on defense.

Tuesday lineup
Will see who Matthews and Willie are thinking of. Marner the last 2yrs sat out games at the end of the season instead of going for 100 points. Let's see what Matthews and Willie do? Dewar and Gregor need to be in the lineup for Tuesday it will probably get nasty.

Obviously you don't understand how UFA signing work. LOL you need to figure it out, Nashville is the only team that can re-sign Saros for 8yrs unless he has been traded before his contract is up.

GAME 1 PLAYOFF LINES
I hope Brodie is in the press box for the playoffs but we all know that Keefe is going to play him and sit Lilly. If the leafs lose the first round Keefe should be gone. Brodie is the leafs d-man with the most ice time on the PK probably a reason it's 25th. Holmberg is definitely in the lineup because he is a true center and is good at both ends of the ice.

I wouldn't have 11M in goalie cap. 4M for a 3rd pairing guy doesn't make sense.

Hear me out
I agree with you about solving the JT cap situation for 25-26 is when they will be able to make a big move. That year there is potential to be a lot of UFA d-men that are top 4 in the lineup. So to sign Walker and Zadorov makes no sense imo. 25-26 is the year they can go out get 1 or 2 great d-men and have a true contender.

Always to terrible
Leafs aren't trading for a goalie. Woll will be there 1A next season with them signing a cheap UFA to be 1B. They don't have the cap for a 6M goalie. They should just wait till JT is off the books and make all their big moves for 25-26 season. The potential of UFA d-men that could be available are very high quality.

The only thing l would switch is Holmberg over Dewar. With Robertson #13 and if anyone in the bottom six is struggling he comes in.

Take out Holmberg and Robertson, they can come in if the Leafs are down in the series and need a lift in game 3.</div></div>
Reaves for sure but Dewar hasn't been that physical. Holmberg plays a great 2-way game and has way more offensive ability. Maybe Jarnkrok sits he was a ghost last year against Florida and has never been a great playoff performer 86playoff games 22 points.

Leafs Big Off-Season Moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>StutzlesNumber1Fan</b></div><div>I'd assume they retain money and try and move him somewhere more competitive? If they retain 50% they'd still save 5.5M$ and I'm sure a handful of teams would take Tavares at 5.5M$ for a season~</div></div>
Than the leafs have to find a player at 5.5M that can produce the same as JT, makes no sense with only 1yr left on contract.

Do Domi and Bert stay
If the leafs really are looking to make a topnotch defense they need to wait until JT comes off the books. 25-26 has a lot of top end d-men possibly becoming ufa's. Walker isn't going to be a difference maker to get to the cup final. Offer Bert and Domi extra term for less cap hit maybe they will take the contract.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mokumboi</b></div><div>Setting aside that you've clearly barely watched him play, and weren't paying attention as Parayko has stifled Matthews more than perhaps any other Dman (same goes for McDavid, by the way), you cannot even come close to getting the one objective fact in your comment right. Parayko is a combined -15 the last two seasons. You more than tripled it in exaggeration. What a fine point it was, huh?
Just FYI, Matthews career vs Parayko at 5v5: one goal, two assists in 14 games.</div></div>
