Go for it again v13
I don't think it makes the team better. Lohrei isn't ready for that and Lindholm's contract is fine for what he offers. Not worth the move. Zegras would be a fun add, but I think that we would suffer a lot defensively losing Debrusk, Grizz, and Beecher. I'd rather just wait out this year for Poitras to develop and sign maybe Elias L in the offseason

3 Way Deal
I don't think it is worth it to trade for Orlov at this point. Lohrei is very promising and to have a few more years on a rookie contract would be huge for us.

Heck no. I want nothing to do with Laine. I am not paying that much for a guy who keeps burning his way through teams and maybe puts in a few goals.

wishful thinking for next season
Not sure I would trade Debrusk just to replace him with Toffoli. I think Debrusk/Potrais/Reinhart would be a killer 2nd line too.

Lines
Would be very curious to see the Zacha/Poitras/Pasta line in action, but the rest I can't see. The 4th line would be way too slow and Beecher is nowhere near ready for a 1st line center role. You can't have 2 rookies as your top 6 centers.

Highly doubt they will bury Forbort to play Zboril. Everything else I could see. I am hoping for that 4th line myself

I think that's a bit much for Bonino and I would rather go for someone like Bjugstad who could either be 3rd or 4th line.

3 team deal
In theory NYR getting Pasta makes sense, but there is no way the Bruins let him go without at least one 1st but more likely 2. Even though Bo Horvat is having a great year, this is a career year and Pasta has been doing that year after year. I just can't see it happening. Yes Pasta is in a contract year, but the Bruins are all in this year. They will risk losing him if it means getting a cup.

Actually wouldn't mind getting Boone Jenner. I think he would actually play 4th line this year with Foligno and either Nosek/Greer, and next year take on the 3rd line likely with Coyle/Zacha as 1C/2C. But that is a lot to give up for a guy who does get hurt a lot and hasn't played a full season since 2016. Also you can't add Stralman to that. You don't sign a vet like that just to trade him. He's depth and we are keeping him. I think it's more likely to be Ahcan who is about NHL ready but is sitting behind too many LHDs.
I would do Jenner for Smith/Ahcan/3rd and that's probably it.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>shmoeman</b></div><div>cap works with all of the LTIR players at the start of the year. Certainly wishful thinking Bergy and Krej take $1 mill deals but this team is very good. Yea definitely wishful thinking that they take $1mil each. I'm hesitant to put Debrusk/Coyle/Smith together since they just never play well all together. Haula is the kind of distributor that could work with Debrusk and I think Lysell would have enough skill to play with them. I agree though, I think he is young and would probably get hurt at least for part of the year.

That would create too much of a gap in our defense. I could see Boston moving a left defenseman in a deal like that (Grizz + Debrusk/Garland + 4th) but I don't think Van would go for Grizz or Reilly with OEL and Quinn Hughes already there

I just can't get behind the character of Kuznetsov. He has caused too many problems. You aren't trading a top 2 center when you are a contender unless there is a real problem there.

Don’t just expose ritchie, don’t even qualify him. He’s useless. There’s ten guys in providence that can do a better job.</div></div>
Well I think it's best to at least try and get some value for him, even if it means adding a pick to have Seattle take him and protect our other players. Out of anyone I wouldn't mind losing Ritchie, but I think the Bruins see something in him for some reason
Also what would you think of us trying to get Crouse from Arizona as well and he takes the 4th line with Frederic & Lazar?

I agree that it's unlikely to get Reilly and another UFA unless it's a lower price one like Ian Cole or something, but Lauzon keeps getting hurt so I wouldn't want to rely on him too much.
Also the other option is put up Ritchie for the expansion draft and keep Wagner but it's tough to find a 10-15 goal scorer for $2-2.5. Ritchie does decent in front of the net on the power play and at least he puts up some points. Whether he can keep that up .... maybe not.

getting Eichel and also using are cap to make an easy cup favourite
Eichel is a fantasy overall. That package in particular doesn't make them better. They get 2 bottom 6 guys unless Debrusk steps up to his 2nd line potential. Unless they kill it with a later 1st round selection they lose a 1st line center for bottom 6 players

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CMcAvoy73</b></div><div>Debrusk and a first? I think toronto will get a first for him, but no more.</div></div>
I think you'd be surprised. For $5 mil to have a defenseman with the ability to put up 50-60 points in a full season, that is not a easy thing to find.

Thoughts on A RiellyDebrusk Swap
It's not a bad idea. I think Debrusk struggling this year means Boston would need to add a pick like a 2nd and maybe another prospect. I would do this trade if it was offered, but I think it would be Debrusk and a 1st if offered by Toronto. But also I don't think these 2 teams would ever actually trade with each other.

Bruins Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BOLTLOVER1</b></div><div>YES .. Heinen done nothing .. it all Coyle Johannson and the rest.. and YES .. most of his paltry 34 points this year came playing on 1st/2nd .. do your research morons .. why you defending a clearly marginal player is baffling.. too much good with others happening .. watch him tonight get beat .. freakin old man Backes on 2nd line because he got balls and better than Heinen .. Heinen is borderline healthy scratch when Acciari comes back .</div></div>
<a href="/users/boltlover1" target="_blank">@boltlover1</a>. Heinen is better than he is given credit for. He had a down 2nd year, but plays a responsible game. Yes he doesn't have that game breaking flash of skill everyone wants, but he has a good shot, good hands, and was a +13 playing during the season (+10 already in the playoffs) with a revolving door of centers for most of the year and the one short stint with the first line. He is a good role player and I could see him hitting the 40-50 point mark next year with Coyle.
Also I don't get why we need more d-men as you mentioned earlier in the thread. We are already scratching John Moore and Kampfer now, and yes Chara is about done and Kampfer is gone next year but we have Miller coming back, Urho V who is about ready for a full time job, and others like Lauzon who have proven they can handle it as well. 2 left handed shots that can cover Chara's spot.

Those 3 are good together but they will get split up. Donato or Heinen will jump up if they split up that top line. I'm thinking Marchand - Bergeron - Heinen and Debrusk - Krejci - Pasta

Three way trade with MTL AND STL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>StLHockey</b></div><div>Absolutely not gonna have to offer something a little more interesting than Bjork for Schenn</div></div>
Yea that's not enough for Schenn or Krug imo. Krug is a 60-70 point D-man, which is a valuable asset. Golden Knights traded a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for a (at the time) 28 point rental in Tatar and we have to trade a 2nd and a 60 point D-man for a mid round 1st? Same with Schenn. He is a 60-70 point center on 2 years of a decent cap hit. Definitely worth more. I don't know what the Blues really need but the Bruins have plenty of prospects that the Blues could be interested in if they want to go full rebuild with a combination of young D in Lauzon, Urho V or forward prospects like Frederic (St Louis native), Cehlarik, Bjork, Senshyn and a couple higher end picks starting with a 1st of course. If it is going for NHL ready players, it's probably not in the Bruins interest to go after Schenn.

Round 9 of Tarasenko Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ajc</b></div><div>I don't</div></div>
agree. I doubt the Bruins would make this trade. Doesn't make sense on the Bruins end. Yes Tarasenko can replace Debrusk's scoring, but Carlo is gonna need to be the shutdown D when Chara retires. That would be a gaping hole if we have no Carlo or Chara. We have enough LD and small/mobile D. We need to keep Carlo. I'd rather have 20-25 goals with Debrusk's rookie contract right now than 30-35 goals with Tarasenko's $7.5 mil. Tarasenko is an incredible talent but we need to add him to our lineup to have a shot at the cup, not deplete our lineup.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ON3M4N</b></div><div>Dont see Boston offering up Donato. Hometown kid, just left school last year and in his first full pro year</div></div>
yea I don't see them training Donato or Heinen for Coyle. Heinen had more points than Coyle in his rookie year. He is having a tough slump right now but he will find his game. I could the Bruins offering some B level prospects that could pay off later and someone who could step in now. Something like Colby Cave or Peter Cehlarik, Zach Senshyn, and a 2nd for Coyle. Decent bottom six center or wing, our leading scorer in the AHL at the moment, and a 2nd for a middle 6 RW that hopefully fits well next to Krejci and Debrusk
