i said realistic value, not inflated TDL value. they'll get more for him. that foligno was a mega overpay, so i hope the same happens again

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mr_Gardoki</b></div><div>First off, scrap the attitude. I did a perfectly fine disclaimer in the description WHICH YOU CLEARLY DIDN'T READ.
Second, just be happy anyone is even talking about the Jackets. They are one of the worst run teams in hockey and probably won't be a playoff team for another decade.
Third, that offer is absolutely absurd.
While I concede for the Jackets to move him would take a SLIGHT overpay, it would be slight. That return your showing is for an elite player, so stop it.</div></div>
"worst run teams in hockey" coming from the only professional sports team to be bankrupt twice lol
realistic trade value, contending late 1st, mid round pick and mid prospect, or mid round pick and high prospect. Like a slightly cheaper return than Giroux got

Team Canada Scandal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>A_Habs_fan</b></div><div>There are likely more people being told to go to court, just they're not pro-hockey players so the hockey reporters don't care as much. We're also going to get 3 damning reports (a police report, a hockey Canada report and an NHL report) into this so there are a couple more hurdles left before we reach a clear end</div></div>
i wouldn't be surprised if it's just one long plead nonguilty get off free but blacklisting. No jail time without physical proof unfortunately. Money talks, or in this case, silences.

Team Canada Scandal
Also to mention the anonymous 6th person who was called down to the room, stayed for 10 minutes then left. Wonder if they'll ever be named. From originally 8 to now 5, this may be another Blackhawks situation of a lot of people knowing and no one doing anything, All names involved will be forever tainted, some more than others.
Wouldn't be surprised if the NHL doesn't do anything considering it's the IIHF games and their leniency to other crimes (Heatley), stubborn finger pointing to the rulebook (Kuznetsov), and lack of care but silent blacklisting to cases that don't directly involve issues on NHL property (Leipsic, M. Miller).

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>A_Habs_fan</b></div><div>Considering how Mitchell Miller is not in the league and Boston immediately regretted signing him, I think the public outcry would be too big for the league to allow the players to play. (also some if not all of the name would likely get some sort of jail time for sexual assault)</div></div>
i mean there's already enough outcry for the Coyotes' stripping of picks for breaking draft workout rules vs no punishment for Chicago leading to Bedard. Forever tainted but the league doesn't seem to care about old cases vs current ones

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Carleton</b></div><div>bro tried to sneak 30 goal pace in there.
he's average. good middle 6 guy but isn't a game changing player</div></div>
may of been 8 years ago since he last hit 30 goals, but he played a full season then. He's been getting hurt a bit more often now, but with a simple google search and calculations he's been a 30 goal pace player for the past 3 seasons including this one. A 2c for most teams or 3c for a contender and would be a great depth guy with scoring potential or PK time for a contender on a pretty reasonable deal. Jackets have trouble finding long term centers, I don't think they want to have to get rid of another one

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Carleton</b></div><div>God I really don't wanna hear Columbus fans whine because you traded for Jenner. He's not game breaking, just an average middle 6 C that does nothing to push this team over the edge.
Peeke gets caved in any time he touches the top 4, they should be paying us to take him</div></div>
you're right, he's just our longest tenured/loyal player, best faceoffman, constant 30 goal pace middle 6C captain on a team friendly deal. We already lost almost all those same things when we lost Bjorkstrand, don't wanna see that happen again. so that's why we complain on things that don't equate.

literally the only thing of value for columbus is Brodie, and he doesn't even fit their timeline and he'll probably leave. Everything else is either too low in their prospect pool/won't make the team now or in the future
