CampbellKuzy Bad Contact Swap- Last Shot for both
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>qc14</b></div><div>Only other thing I would say is that I would be shocked if they move Kuzy before the TDL. I think there's a very high chance that he realizes he does not actually want to play in Hershey and comes to WSH looking for a contract termination to either sign a 1xmin deal with a contender or go back to Russia. I don't hate the idea of WSH taking on Campbell, but they have so much room and so many options that I would want to get a premium asset to do so.</div></div>
I checked, and should they take on Campbell deal Dowd and buy out Campbell in the offseason- with Backy's LTIR status they'd have just under $24m for the offseason, should they keep Kuzy and deal Dowd anyways and LTIR Backstrom, they'd have just over $21m in space- so one way or another they're gonna have a lot of space to do either option.. But I doubt Kuzy looks for a contract termination when he's going to be getting paid sooo much more playing in Hershey the rest of the season and getting bought out in the summer time to bolt to Russia or sign that cheap deal elsewhere next season...

Ohh I 100% get it from the Caps end too, I'd likely do the same thing, minors until the off season and buy him out, but you never know with GMBM maybe he's down to take a chance on Campbell with Lindgren gone after this year to back up Darcy- again just a spitballing an idea to save them $4.1m(Dowd's hit to0) next season to add to Backy's LTIR savings- could give the Caps alot of wiggle room to go big game hunting in the offseason for a top line C-but doubting Kuzy or Campbell get traded and both bought out in the off season..

Carri on Rico
It's been said numerous times, the Oilers will NOT give up their 1st round pick, or top end prospects for a rental, so aim lower, if they do go after Henrique it's likely a 2nd down the line, and that 5th pick for the 3rd party retention broker plus somebody like Lavoie to get a deal done...

This was more to play off what I posted previous, I did it more so I can see the overview of the future should a deal like this happen out of nowhere type thing.. I by no means think it will happen, but hey that's what this is for...

Zegras to the Jets
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GiggywithGibby</b></div><div>Buddy, your comment is more off base than the trade offer, and the trade offer is bad to begin with, you should take this down first.
"Injury prone" No, Kirby Dach is injury prone, this is Zegras first season with any injury issues whatsoever, unlucky, sure, injury prone, no.
"Locker room cancer" on what grounds? The kid hypes up the locker room. He's got a big personality yeah but there's no evidence to support he is a cancer in any capacity.
"Over hyped" why, because we would demand full value for a guy who put up multiple 60+ point seasons on his ELC, do you understand how rare it is for a player to do that? The hype is real.</div></div>
My apologies, he's missed 7 games, then 1 and now 35 and counting this year, not quite injury prone, but still has some physical growing up to do.. I shouldn't say locker room cancer, that's pretty hefty too, but he does rub people the wrong way hence Verbeek's no nonsense approach for negotiations, and the fact he is still willing to deal him for the right return, after already dealing his boy Drysdale, so where there's smoke there's fire.. And I stand pat on the over hyped portion, if it weren't for a few michigan goals and Tiktok stuff he wouldn't be put on a pedestal where he's a "franchise player" and deserves a haul like this, he would be a Jordan Eberle type player when he was in Edmonton at the beginning of his career- nothing to scoff at career wise, but he's not the No 1 C you're going to win a cup with...

Ohh, I whole heartedly agree that he has next to no trade value, however there is a floor to get to and the Yotes took on Kassian a perceived unattractive contract as well, at least with this their not getting Campbell at full hit.. But I agree and understand he's likely not going to be dealt and will for sure be bought out in the summer- but doesn't hurt to try when you add Broberg who they really like allegedly and a couple high picks to off set the cap situation- should they want another prospect I'd say why not like Lavoie...

Zegras to the Jets
Take this down now, the Jets just got rid of a perceived locker room issue player in Wheeler, don't need that clown show running a muck, especially giving up Barlow and picks for the injury prone overhyped band aid.... Yes, he would be fun for a bit and drive some crowds, but that will wear off fast when he disappears when the going gets tough...

I would guess the same, but due to Drysdale being hurt, and replacing Walker's salary for next season with another player who is NHL caliber, think Ceci gets added and it becomes him and the 2nd for Walker with likely no retention(unless Philly does the Oilers a solid and retains even $1m, but I could see them requesting for another later pick too)..

Talk about a bold move
I know Bruins fans think Ullmark is so wanted by the Oilers, and yes would be a great fit- but, he's only signed for this and next season, and Bucci(along with Chiclets) have presented this as a potential trade option- but it's extremely unlikely they deal Leon for Ullmark, IF they deal Leon for a goalie on Boston it would be Swayman- but the other parts would also need to align with possibly replacing Leon long term... And Ullmark has trade protection, Swayman doens't soooo he would be the likley return as a goalie...

I genuinely like all 3 deals for Edmonton, well both sides, I just doubt Holland gives up the draft picks with the young talent in the Holloway deal, and I would assume if Campbell was going to MTL they would want to unload Anderson in that deal rather than deal Huberdeau.....

saros
If you're giving up Broberg plus Holloway and 2 of your next 3 1st rounders, think the Campbell deal gets added in there to make the money work- and with Saros being UFA after next season, you'd need both Skinner and Rodrigue ready to takeover from then on out-otherwise you're back to square one again.. What NASH fans will gripe about is Saros is a top 10 goalie, so they expect the moon in return, but if you're getting 2 former first round picks, plus 2 more and free up another $2.75 in Foegele after this season- it would be worth a look to take on the Campbell deal for at least 1 more year, but worst case scenario buy him out, with his buyout taking over Turris' which I believe is up after next season... Also, would rather keep Lavoie and those picks and give him a legit shot to takeover Foegele's mins rather than deal for another potential reclamation project...

Well St Louis would be stupid to decline this trade, giving up 3 First round picks to trade $1m more in cap space in Binnington and only take on Campbell for the same term.. Ceci would be shot to the moon tho.. Either way this is a horrible trade idea regardless...

Is binnington the answer
Binnington is not worth that much, he's been up and down himself, just a little younger and Cup Ring in his pocket.. If they were to make Binnington/Campbell deal, Bourgault yes, Broberg likely replaces Desharnais and it would be a mid round pick IF necessary to get Binnington for $1m more as a cap hit and same term remaining....

What Summer Moves Shouldve Taken Place
This is why I said moves that should've been made in the summer, Carolina was shopping Pesce but nothing panned out, now they have plethora of right shot D Men with his contract expiring- likely looking to give his minutes to Chatfield/Skjei and Deangelo- so could've worked out. I am convinced he is the missing piece to play with Nurse on the first pairing, but it's a little too late now unfortunately...

Yeah, I just used the Yotes because everybody dumps their trash in AZ for players.. 3rd round is kind of a decent price to pay for a 15 goal scorer whose cap hit is under $3m- I'm doubting either trade gets made, and Pesce will likely stay in Carolina, but in a perfect world dropping Ceci and Foegele for a couple picks and taking flyers on a good young F in Comtois and a season vet like Sutter for less than Foegele's price would be very enticing...

100% what I meant by it, but some NHL execs still like certain players, if they gave Shattenkirk $3.5m for 3 years, I am sure they'd look at Ceci for $3.25m and only 2 years remaining.. Just an idea..
