I think that a trade for Fiala would either be built around Wahlstrom OR the first round pick, but probably not both. Wahlstrom has a lot of time left to grow and develop and could become a serious stud for the Isles.

I'm a huge fan of Frank Nazar but having him at 4 doesn't sit right with me. I don't think I'd take him over others like Nemec, Slafkovsky, Savoie, or Kemell.

This is a really interesting offer. I don't think the value is all that bad, it's actually really enticing. But the Sharks management has committed to winning now (lol) and would rather keep a piece like Meier. Obviously Holtz coming back would change things because of how electric he is + his connection to Eklund, but I don't see NJ moving him.

Buyout Vlasic next summer, trade Burns at 50% to a contender in 2 years when he's an expiring UFA, and wait out the Karlsson contract and hope he can perform around the same level he has this season. That's really the only option SJ has.

Welcome to CapFriendly! I think you've got a lot of great stuff here, but I'm not sure about the Keller trade. I think the coyotes would consider that trade. But for the Sharks, players on their ELC's like Weatherby and Bordeleau, and whoever they pick with the 2023 first round pick are going to step in and play with the older players on expensive contracts. I like Keller and your thinking but cheap young players are the way the sharks will stay competitive in the future, in my opinion.

I understand he makes the cap work but I don't know if the Sharks would be interested in Monahan coming back, if Hertl goes it'll signal that the Sharks are looking to rebuild, there likely would have to be a third team involved. Hertl also gets closer to 8M on his next deal.

He's totally one of those players that was good for long stretch in the 2010's but father time caught up with him hard and you wouldn't notice if you dont have the pain of watching him try to play every night LOL. But really digging these rankings man!
