Sujet: If Montreal did not trade for Dvorak and decided to punt on this season
1) with berg gone next year he should not be making decision on the future of the club at all.
2) KK was worth 2.8 at the top end. He is a 4th liner in Carolina and we tried to hide him in the playoffs he should have never been picked in the first place he was top ranked at 10th.
3) Danault and Dvorak have very similar stats this year except for the -15 difference in +/- but that has a lot to do with our ****ty defense. Dvorak is younger and cheaper. When Danault was up for negotiations and rumors of what he was offered people were calling for him to just leave he isn't worth it. When MTL was looking to trade for Dvorak and the offers were being speculated , what was actually paid was deemed not enough to get him. People seem to think they know or have opinions but quickly start taking a different side when things happen. Not we should have kept danault and Dvorak wasnt worth what the habs paid for him. You can't have it both ways.
4) chariot is not worth a early - mid 1st in my mind, but Edmonton has the potential to go very far in the playoffs Chiarot retained however is worth a late 1st if not more. Lavoie is a good prospect, inconsistent, poor defensively and plays the wrong wing for the habs, he is a project with upside. The habs might need to add to the trade but its close.

KK (no replacement) Need to have a player to play 3c/2c
savard + Wideman does not equal Weber bad additions
perrault bad addition
paquette bad addition
sam montebault bad addition
Sami Niku good potential ( if rebuilding) don't mind the addition

No edmonson
No byron

why turris?
lagesson+benson/lavoie + second

lagesson b level prospect + benson 4th liner depth forward behind perlinin in depth chart (left wing, needed) or lavoie b- level prospect on the wrong side of what we need(project) + second (The second is going to be very late in the round) for chairot retained


russel is useless to habs, turris is useless to the habs kemp is useless to the habs he is a low end prospect that is defensively minded 7th rounder, we have more than enough of those) we need a puck mover and lagesson isnt the best but he has the potential at least . Chairot alone will bring a second+, retained he will bring more.

they need a full rebuild in my eyes but barring that, lavoie + lagesson + second for chairot 50% retained? I think lavoie needs to fix his defensive issues and consistency to make the nhl so thast a project nut i do like him (he is a rw and we have a lot there lw would be preferable but i like the guy) , lagesson would be and AHL caliber d-man right now with posibility of being a decent a 3rd pair in the future, no PP or PK. I think keeping Russel and his ability to block shots and move the puck as your depth d-man is the best option to help win a cup in edmonton for the blue line.

If Edmonton wins the cup or finishes anywhere near where they are now that second is real real late so i beleive the ask is fair value with substitution benson for lavoie , when I said Benson it was his potential and LW and i though he sloted behind perlini on the 4th line and made him available
