Seattle's not going to have any interest in that trade. Husso is four times as expensive as Daccord and was worse than him by every metric last season. The Kraken finally achieved some stability in net with Daccord, they're not going to trade him and downgrade at goalie for just a mid-round pick swap.

If they give up both Chychrun and 25th overall, I think that trade is an L for ottawa.

"All that talent" was said about Mantha, Zadina and couple of other as well and the hype was just as big with stats galore to prove it. After top 10 picks the draft is basically a craps shoot so roll the dice on a kid who is 2-3 years away from MHL best case or get a proven Vezina winning goalie to push you into the playoffs NOW...hmm tough choice...

So you want to end up like the Rangers? Get amazing goalie who will need to stand on his head bailing out the team. Yzerman will not rush the rebuild for a 31y old rental goalie.

Mantha & Zadina were Holland picks. Yzerman's Drafting has been excellent. Have you even looked at rankings for this years Draft? It's a deep draft and we're guaranteed to get a prospect with high potential. Sennece, MBN, Helenius, Greentree, Eiserman...ranked in the 12-15 range. Prospects of that quality should not be included in a rental trade.
