No, you got the Reaves trade right originally -- no GM in his right mind would give you a third-round draft pick for him.
Utah isn't about to give up the first draft pick of their franchise unless it's for an immediate top asset, and no team in the league is giving up a top-ten pick for Cowan and pick #23. If you don't believe me, propose that trade for Calgary or New Jersey (whose GM has already announced that their pick is available).
Any proposed Marner trade is pointless because we don't know whether it's for one season of Marner or eight. You can say "comes with an extension" all you want but that's utterly speculative, like saying "let's assume Edmonton wants to trade Connor McDavid." And no team is going to make the mistake that Toronto has demonstrated beyond reasonable dispute is a mistake -- namely, concentrating assets in four or five players and thereby robbing the team of the ability to surround those players with a sufficient number of complementary supporting players. Anaheim (a small-market team that operates on an internal cap) in particular isn't going to be trading two core pieces on their ELCs for one $11 million player no matter how good he is. (We'd make an exception for Matthews or MacKinnon, of course.)
