Since the ducks have a lot of LD and not a ton of RD the only players I can see canes being interested for them are Zegras (probably not happening and pretty lateral move from Necas) and maybe Vatrano or Strome? Idk doesn’t really seem to make sense to either team. I doubt he signs a one year deal either

I don't get what you pointing out Anaheims depth at LHD has to do with the trade when the only guy in Carolinas system that looks to do anything anytime soon is the Russian kid on the left. You've got Morrow and Chatfield on the right.

I can upgrade Lundestrom to Strome but then I'm dropping the pick to Bostons 2nd, or dropping the pick entirely and adding JK to the trade.

I’ll be honest I’m really not a fan of this.

I don’t see what the point of trading Terry for players who have 2 years left on their deals, one of them being 32 years old. We will not be competitive in these next 2 years

I don’t think Dallas does that, the savings are too minimal and the bottom 6 talent drop is material

Don’t mind the cost of the CAR deal, but not a fan of Necas for his contract demands, and that Kotk deal seems terrible. He couldn’t notch 28 points on CAR’s stacked team in a full season. Why do we want to pay him nearly $5Mx6?

Depending on cost (no core piece going the other way), I’m cool with going for Laine. I’m totally on board with adding Faksa to the bottom 6. And a RD yes, but preferably Roy imo. I’m anti-Jones getting a 3 year deal, and would like to keep Lindstrom after the nice season he had with us. At least as a 7th

6 whiskeys mostly, though there's some sense to be had to it. Terry really hasn't been able to sync up with either Zegras our Carlsson the way he did with Getzlad the year he put up 37 goals. His contract will probably age okay as a 2nd line winger, but if we think Laine is able to stay healthy(er) he would be an upgrade in the goal scoring department.

After that, I want Gudbranson back to play with Fowler (they meshed well together way back when) and a pick to help balance out value, but one of Columbus's abundance of prospects could work too.

Really, that's the hangup on the trade?
