To be honest it’s is something I wouldn’t hate seeing NJ’s 2024 1st move to CGY for. Maybe I’m in the minority, but Mangs blows up on the wing of a Hughes or Aho in either system

Terrible for the Canes. Markstrom isn’t worth moving a top 6 winger for, let alone adding a top prospect to. And Mang just straight up isn’t worth it. Canes could get the same impact from a guy like Reilly Smith, and the cost to acquire and the cap hit would be much lower.

Carolina is the wrong team to be trading for Markstrom.
