Personally, I have no interest in either player for the Wild, but this definitely looks like something Bill “the Moron” Guerin would do.

They have wallstedt so they could replace him, they put leddy into that 3LD spot and use Saad on the 3rd line.

I agree. Parayko is good and has size but he's on the wrong side of 30 with a lot of term left on his contract. He would be an improvement over Murphy but he'll be 37 at the end of that contract and there's no guarantee he'll age well.

Chicago passes. Way too many years left for Parayko plus they seem to like Slaggert a lot.

Kings pass. Binnington is not good or consistent enough of a goalie to be making 6M, and the Kings would have next to zero cap space to make any other signings. Maybe if he was 50% retained, but even then I'm not sure I'd do that deal. Laferriere is only going to get better, and we need all the value/ELC contracts on the team we can get.
