If the draft goes how I am hoping sharks get Celebrini (already a done deal lol) Michael Nygard with the 14th then grab Badinka and Pulkkinen with their 2nds. I think they could be a solid 2nd pairing for the sharks in 4/5 years.

Favorite is Letourneau, but Spencer Gill also has great potential. There is one thing working against Gill and that is his august birthday.
It's a (understandable) pattern older prospects get more attention than younger ones. Lukas Fischer and Anthony Romani are also interesting names not on the list. Fischer is one of the youngest prospects overall and Romani is young overager. Both of them are rather 3rd or even 4th round selections instead of 2nd rounders but they might be valuable pieces to any team.

I see the Capitals targeting Ilya Protas (obviously with his brother signed with Washington for the extended future) hopefully they will go after Surin in the second round if he makes it that far. And Moysevich (goaltender who got KHL time as a teenager) in the third round. If we go

1st Round: Whomever makes it to us out of MBN, Greentree, Eiserman or Connelly
2nd Round: Surin
3rd Round: Protas, Moysevich and Leon Muggli

I would be thrilled

Teddy Stiga: He's clearly a top 10 prospect in the draft. He's unreal defensively even without Hagens and he's a slightly better skater than Connelly. He just doesn't use his body to get around defenders while having the puck on his stick, he mainly finds the open area.

Justin Poirer scored 51 in the Q but getting overlooked cause he's 5'8. High risk high reward. Hope flames grab him with one of their 2nds

Cole Beaudoin doesn't seem to be getting much love, would love to see him fall the the flames with vancouvers pick. Probably the safest pick in the draft.

Would have liked to have seen Gill for more than 3 minutes a night at u18. He is still a bit of a mystery box to me.

Who would be a fitting comp for him?

He models his game after Noah Dobson, former 6ft4 RHD QMJHL-er.
Obviously 185lbs at current height of 6ft3.5 isn't optimal, but he is yet to turn 18. In a few years it should be around 6ft4, 205-210lbs. His skating is not absolute strenght, it is good for his size. Hands (puck control) are his advantage, physical strenght and it's affect to defensive game are at the moment disadvantage.
It is common for QMJHL D-men not to be defensively on the same par as OHL, WHL or USHL D-men. If they don't have offensive potential they usually don't make it to the NHL. But if they have some offensive potential they get a chance to improve their defensive game in the AHL/NHL.

What really impressed me about him is being over one goal a game in the playoffs.

He's also actually pretty young for the draft class... he's only 18 in September. At 180 lbs at his size, he's probably going to be pretty strong on the puck. These types of players tend to be really good at crease crashing and banging in loose pucks. He intrigues me for sure...
