Truly horrible for the Leafs. Suspending reality for a second and assuming Marner waives for Kanata - why would the Leafs want Norris (or Batherson) back? The whole point is to gain cap space to address defense, not to downgrade forwards.

Idk. I like it. Leafs robbery if Norris stays healthy, but that’s exactly the problem for a contract that big and is probably why OTT would really consider this. Such a massive risk to take on in Matthews’ prime that it might not be worth the potential upside though
