Canes pass. Morrow already fills the need that Barron does and has a higher ceiling imo and Blake was a Hobey Baker finalist. Doubt the move him easily.

No, but maybe you could make a trade for him that actually makes sense

I get that. Obviously not my post. But when I've traded for him in the past, all I hear from Buffalo fans is: If Slafkovsky or Reinbacher isn't involved, don't bother.

I don't recall ever making such a comparison. So you think Kulich is better than most of the top 10 in the 2024 draft other than Macklin?

I think we are done trading for futures. He scored 20+ in back to back seasons as a teenager in the ahl despite missing time both seasons to go to world jrs.

Time for him to play in the nhl

Right because those are the only players you have that we'd be interested in trading him for

Yes I get it. You only like horribly one-sided deals in your favor. Elite talent for a guy who "may" be a top 6 one day.

That was why I made my comment to that effect. Thanks for making my point!

I don't necessarily agree with NEEDING one of those two, but it would have to make sense

Any other draft i might seriously consider the kulich deal to move up to 5. Im super low on this years class though.

Buffalo fans act like Kulich is Jack Eichel... He's not...

Don't know how "even if he's a great player" constitutes placing Kulich on that level.

Only way I would consider that trade as the Buffalo GM is if that pick I'm getting is Macklin.

Hence why you are not the Buffalo GM.

LAK is not retaining 2.5M$ for 7 years lmao

The premise is that if cup final goes past PLD’s 26th birthday the contract becomes kryptonite and 2/3 buyout protected…. I think they do it

Soooo LAK pays a 1st to eat $8M x 3 for Anderson and $2.5M for 4 years after that, rather than just buy PLD out and eat $3.8M at most, and keep their 1st?

What do you think…

Maybe it’s your first time on this site. So I’m gonna let it slide. But mtl is sending the first.

Enjoy your weekend friend

Sabres are basically setting themselves back a year trading Kulich like this

Kulich is not a third liner… not sure who moves down but they don’t seem to have room for him in the top 6… is he better than Peterka, cozens, tuch, benson? Idk. They should take a deal like this imo.

Sabres are definitely looking at having a skilled 3rd line and putting Kulich on it. Even if not, it's not worth just trading him without upgrading the current roster.

Sabres are in a very interesting spot. I’m not sure exactly what I would do… if they are in a playoff spot come thanksgiving i would flip kulich in a hockey trade for a real impact piece; if not i would make a deal like this. I’m not sure how far away that team really is - could be very far, there are a lot of unproven players on that roster

The sabres have no reason to sell prospects like this or trade top prospects for rentals. They are only going to do it if they get a clear upgrade for the current roster that also helps for the future. Kulich is also ready to make an impact on this team next season.

You are the most insufferable Caniac. Every deal is “comical”. Necas is Gretzky. The list of hobey baker winners that have not even stuck in the nhl is as long as your list of detractors on this site Caniac2000!

Ahh, you're a clueless habs fan. Only those truly hate me with such passion. I'm grateful for living rent free in your mind buddy. You're still not getting a Hobey Baker finalist for an AHL defenseman... you can hate me, you're still COMICALLY overvaluing Barron

Post a Sabres AGM and then we can actually have an intelligent debate. I am actually curious to see what kind of roster they table to finally make the playoffs, and from what I understand the fan base is kind of demanding that next year.

See a few comments up where the only Habs Buffalo would accept for Kulich are Slafkovsky or Reinbacher.

I saw the Maklin mention as the only one above yours. However, that sheds a poor light on Sabre-sanity.

It ain't perfect, but the general idea is there. Find a good 3C, rework the fourth line and try to upgrade the d. All of which focus on solid NHL players with age and experience who can add missing dimensions to an overall very young group

Los Angeles won't be retaining $2.5 million for seven seasons. We'll give you two seasons of that by taking Dvorak off your hands, too, even though his contract is hideously under water.
