I just can't see Marner waiving to non playoff team, and playing a new position in his contract year.

You would assume the Flyers aren’t trading anything for him without an extension so that takes care of that right there. Also if you look at that line up above and tell me the Flyers wouldn’t make the playoffs idk what to tell you lol. This team above is 100x better than the team this last year that missed by 4 points after an epic 8 game collapse lol.

I can’t wait to see all of the Flyers teams on here now that it leaked Michkov could come over early lol. Now it went from 2 more years of rebuild into we must get this team ready to go now

The biggest mistake they could do now is to abandon the rebuild to try and compete. It would be the Giroux era all over again.

That's also a bit of an issue. That's why I think they should trade Konecny instead of resigning him. Moving Torts to the front office would also help with rebuilding, since that mf makes the team too good to rebuild lol.

The flyers aren’t sniffing a bottom 8-10 spot unless they legit like trade half the team. They already have a ton of their youngsters in . They have a good coach and strong depth.

The only two things you can do at this stage:

1) Trade for Marner type of player
2) Package as much as you can to get a high draft pick

They have a lot of young players but don't have a 1C which is the big issue going forward. They could try to trade for one but there's none on the market right now and there rarely is a young player with 1C potential available. You would also have to give up a lot to get them.

The best way to get one is through the draft.

Just by removing Konecny from this team they would become significantly worse. Without him they could easily fall into like bottom 7.
