Aside from McTavish being a completely unavailable piece, understand that teams who are still rebuilding do not trade the future for the now, and in no way does a year of TK, a pick that may as well be a 2nd, and a cap dump grab you a 3OA player.

I actually like the idea of Konecny in Anaheim a lot. I think his little rat **** style could work marvelously with the players they've already got. But not for MacTavish (or Zegras or Carlsson, as Philly fans seem to think the only acceptable return for him is a young center and obviously Gauthier isn't an option there). Just doesn't make sense for Anaheim to make the move now. Hopefully he makes it to FA and they can sign him there.
