Habs pass, Mailloux as of right now is penciled in to our future top 4 RD, if we trade him it's cause we drafted another RD which makes little sense with where we are drafting and the fact that there are likely 3 or 4 better forwards that are gonna be available to us. Add in that Beck currently has equal value to Yagar (or really close) and its a real easy pass.

Why do the pens need RD prospects when EK65 is locked up for 3 more years and Letang 4 more years

report of Letang not playing next year due to an other injury... HE really needs to retire or his health will be a BIG problem later. A part from Karlsson you have literally 0 RD, like zero, nada.
Also, IF Letang plays you have Mailloux as a #5-6 which is ideal for next year imo.

And then you have Beck to develop as #4 next year with Crosby under his wing

there is no report of letang not playing next year.

You aren't getting Yager who is a far better prospect than both of these two.

The comments on here are funny as hell...Beck. Beck a year older than Yager and putting up worse numbers but in MTL fans heads yager is just a little bit better.......

Can't imagine the Pens trading Yager. They have almost nothing in the forward pipeline without him

There are zero reports that I’ve seen that Letang isn’t playing next year. He is likely getting surgery and will definitely play next year. As for not having any RD outside of Letang and Karlsson…tell us you didn’t watch the pens without telling us. St. Ivany played after Ruhwedel got traded and did really well. The pens could also pickup a 6/7 RD in free agency. There is no need to trade their best prospect for a guy that will at best only play as their 3rd pair d for the next 3-4 years.

And other French one says he should not play. He will probably play but won't be the same imo.

We can't really have a constructive talk if you just hate Mailloux, it'S fine, but he is stellar in the AHL, #1 D for points, hits, etc.
Yager is good but the gap with him and Mailloux is not that big, and Montreal probably pays more with the added Beck.

But i respect your opinion if you don't value Mailloux highly

I think you under estimate Beck considerably.

Yager had 95 points in 57 games and 14 points in 9 playoff games so far

Beck had 81 points in 57 games and has 10 in 9 playoff games so far

This doesn't mean that Yagar isn't a great prospect to have, he is but the difference between Yagar and Beck is at most a 3rd not Mailloux

Your opinion is more useless than used toilet paper. No one on here has a clue on the circumstances of his injury and even if we did, we still would have no idea on the long term outcome. Letang was supposed to be retired from the blood clots and came back. Kane was supposed to be done from hip resurfacing surgery.

Nothing in that report states anything or even hints at the idea that Letang wouldn’t play next season. Every player has injuries at the end of the season to get looked at. The fact he clearly played through them this year indicates they aren’t career or even season threatening.
And even in the article it says the injury didn’t cause him to have a dip in production.

Pens say no.....they aren't giving up one of their best prospects. Especially when he is close cracking the lineup.

I don't want that POS Mailloux even if Beck is tied to him.

beck is a +2 after draft and under scoring a +1 after draft.... don't tell me about under estimating.
You aren't getting an A prospect for two B prospects. No team is agreeing to that. Your leaves homerism needs to put get back on it's meds.

Just a side not on Kane.
Remember when Hall had his hip done, his first year back he didn't look to bad...... it was shortly after that that things fell apart.
I wouldn't go counting chickens on him yet.

LMAO, I literally said Yagar was a great prospect, how is that underrated him? Beck is also a great prospect who has increased his value since being drafted and would be a 1st round pick if a redraft occurred (I believe the last redraft by the Athletic has Beck going 27th or something, Yagar was 14th). The gap isn't that wide my friend, you can insult and whine all you want it just doesn't change the facts
