your prospect cupboard is pretty bare, so I think Soderblom would be a good asset for the Pens, and would likely make your team next year. Husso I can understand not wanting, but we would need to shed some salary to acquire Jarry.
I don't think Soderblom has the speed to play the NHL level. Their prospect pool is better than people think. Given they don't have a lot of spaces in the roster to play them. It's different next year as opposed to this year. This year they weren't able to call up Yager or Pickering. They also didn't have the 3 prospects from the CAR trade, 2 of them at least look NHL capable that I know of.
You add in Broz and Poulin and you got 5 possible prospect forwards. So I don't really see the need on a guy who can't play with speed.
As far as Husso, I get why you need to move cap. But the penguins aren't taking on 4.75 mil in cap on a dead goalie.
That may work for you but trades have to work both ways.
Penguins don't have a goalie issue. Jarry can play next year with Blom. I imagine that's the plan. They will let Murashov play in the AHL. When they think Murashov is NHL ready they will focus on moving Jarry.
The offer has to be right to move Jarry. They don't need the cap space that bad, and they are saving 1.5 mil in cap on their goalies next year as it is.
