Levshunov doesn't get past Anaheim.

Forsberg isn't an upgrade on Georgiev and Tkachuk isn't an upgrade on Rantanen, so THAT trade is just embarrassing.

One guy (Tkachuk) is the premiere Power Forward in the game.... top line guy that can definitely put up 90+ points playing with MacKinnon who is never hurt, sits in the top 3 in hits and shots and would be a shoe-in for at least 40G at likely $2.5M less than it would cost you for Raantenen.

Tkachuk has 4 years left at $8.2M.... You put Brady on with MacKinnon and Tkachuk likely puts up close to what Raantanen would. Only you're paying Tkachuk $8.2M instead of $10.5M+ that it will cost you to keep Raantenan. Georfiev and Forsberg is a wash... Ottawa takes on cap in the exchange. The exchange for Ottawa is just to get a different piece to see if it fits or not.

That probably doesn't get Rantanen alone even with only 1 year left on his current deal.

The thinking is this.... Col gets Tkachuk for 4 years at $8.3M.... If he plays with MacKinnon, he's a sure-fire 40G 50A 90Pts player who is the game's premiere power forward. Ranntanen will be more productive but likely less productive than he was in Colordao. Ottawa likely has to ante up $10.5M to keep him. So Ottawa is saving Col $2.3M on that exchange.... Georgiev and Forsberg are a wash, but again Col receives $500K more cap space, meaning they get the game's premiere Power Forward and close to $3M in cap space. With the cap going up Brady locked up for 4 more years and playing with MacKinnon his contract would look like gold.

Except Forsberg for Georgiev isn't a wash, in spite of a down season Georgiev is better and younger, and then there's Olausson and a first. Rants is better than Tkachuk. The Avs decline all day every day.

This is one of the dumbest things ever written on CF. Top 15 players in the league have massive value regardless Matthew Tkachuk trade would be the frame work for a Rantanen deal which would mean Brady AND another high end roster piece like Pinto AND a 1st rd pick AND another prospect. But to be fair OTT doesn’t make the trade at all without knowing Rantanen resigns and that’s the biggest reason your statement is so dumb like moronic.

Are you going for the most worst posts in one ACGM? Georgiev has definitely struggled at times but has a better save percentage a better GAA average oh and TWENTY FOUR wins more than Forsberg on what planet is that trade a wash? ROTFLMAO

Dude Forsberg likely has more wins than that if he was playing in Colorado... Forsberg ; 20-21 (.909 SV%)...21-22 (.917 SV%)...22-23 (.902 SV%)..... Georgiev? 20-21 (.905 SV%), 21-22 (.898 SV%), 22-23 (.918 SV%)., 23-24 (.897 SV %).... Who has had the better stats? Despite playing on a getter team? Thanks for coming out though.... You obviously watch nothing outsiude of Avs hockey. If anything Forsberg is worth more than Georgiev. This season for the most part is a blip.... Georgiev despite playing on a much better team struggles to hit .900 Come back when you do your homework....Are you trying to be the site's biggest moron?

God damn that Colorado trade is so one-sided.

You've lost the plot if you think someone's contract situation drains that much value.

Completely unrealistic, my man. That's a ludicrous deal.

Brady is nearing that place where it's time to ask for a trade out of Ottawa.... If that happens? We likely get a very small package back for him. Rantanen will be expensive, but has a cup ring, can be a 100 point player but will be paid equally for what he produces. Yes Brady will provide better bang for the buck at his current salary but like I said, if Ottawa fails to make the playoffs next season he might start hinting he wants out. Moving him to Colorado for that package ensures we get solid pieces for him. Most of Colorado's fans don't see that Rantanen scores 104 points playing next to MacKinnon... Brady is basically an 80 point player playing with Norris and Pinto....ROLMFAO.... Like if Brady was playing nexct to MacKinnon he's still likely to hover around the 80 point mark..... ROFLAMO.... He'd be close to 90-95 points, lead the league in hits, fights, shots.... Where does Rantanen fit in those areas? Colorado would be STUPID not to take it.

How is it unrealistic? How many points do you think Tkachukl gets playing alongside MacKinnon? His usual 80 points or so? Try 90-95 points.... which would be like 10 points less than Rantanen.... Rantanen doesn't fight, is never near the league lead in hits, and shots.... Brady is top 5 in both every single season. He is the game's best power forward and it isn't even close. They get Brady for 4 years at $8.2M.... Colorado will get 10 more points for $4M more in cap hit, receive less hits, less intimidation, Brady fights.... The issue is, Ottawa has done too much losing and the point is to get aherad of him asking for a trade.... Rantanen who has his cup will take the overpayment to play here. Otttawa losing so much put themselves in that spot. If anything it's a deal Ottawa doesn't do and roll the dice they make the playoffs. But if a deal like that came up, I'd consider it.....

Brady is a volume player, and that is not a good fit for high end teams. You really don't understand hockey if you think MacKinnon would rather pass to B.Tkachuk (career 9.6% shooting) than Rantanen (career 16.1% shooting).

Brady is an inefficient player, who takes excessive penalties and causes significant distractions. He ends countless possessions with poor shots, is less than half the playmaker that Rantanen is, and is completely overrated.

I would love to know what you think makes him the "game's best power forward."

In most non-Ottawa eyes he is a player who hits like a freight train, sticks up for his teammates, and loves to shoot but... he is also incredibly immature, a total distraction on the ice, incredibly inefficient, kills plays by making low % shots, has his production come from effort and volume over talent, and in general a player who won't take over a game on his own.

Most people think he is the ultimate role-player, but no one is relying on him as the "go-to guy" like they would a Rantanen who is arguably the best RW in the league.

And absolutely no one is trading Rantanen for Tkachuk lol.

Ah the old if he played in COL argument, you are going for the most dumb posts in one thread. Dude can’t even take over the sole starting job in dog but OTT. OTT is his fourth team in the NHL who in all of which he has managed to play more than 30 games more than ONCE. Talk about taking homer takes. That’s some dumb takes and instead of just acknowledging you had a bad take saying Forsberg for Georgiev is wash you do the bone double down ignore the fact Forsberg is a career back up type goalie and that part of the reason OTT sucks is him. But go ahead and give us some more bad takes.🤦🏻‍♂️.

Dude not getting crushed by anyone.... issue is too many Americans who don't know hockey or how the salary cap works....hence why teams like Tampa, Vegas...etc need to be over the cap by $15M to win. Over valuing Rantanen by a ton. Instead of actually reading and COMPREHENDING what I'm tellinjg you, you put your dunce cap on and make it worse.
