*IF* Hutson is has a good camp and is ready for NHL, trade Matheson for whatever you can. His value is only decreasing from the poor defensive play. Sign a veteran defenseman who can play on the pp on a 1year deal so that if Hutson needs some AHL time you can send him down without being scared to ruin the pp. Options: Barrie, Gufstavsson. Worst case scenario have Guhle or Xhekaj on PP1

Sign a Forward on a high AAV low term contract to play in the top6 until the forward we drafted in 2024 is ready to make an impact in the NHL. Probably gonna have to overay a lot to convince them to sign with cause cause we aint good. Options: Stamkos 2 x 10.5 (very unlikely but maybe want to play under his former teamate St-Louis?), Debrusk, Terravainen, Mantha and Bertuzzi: 2 x 6.5 (Kinda prove it contract. Debrusk, Teuvo and Bert are skilled but coming off dissapointing season and Mantha prove this season wasnt a fluke). Marchessault: 2 x 9.5 I dont expect it to happen but id LOVE it (Funny story I used to work in a golf club when I was younger and he tipped me 120$ so he's a great guy). They arent worth that much money but its what we need to do for them to consider signing here.
