I would love for him to do that but it wont change that we finish bottom 10 in the league. The problem isn't that he's a bad player, he just doesn't fit with our timeline. If the rest of our team was 2-3 years older I would love to have him but were wasting his prime years now

I believe Tuch's rights expire this summer so its not likely he signs for us. I get the need to add size as most of our prospects are smaller guys, but our top 6 will be relatively set up for the future after this draft (plus Dubois) and we can find serviceable bottom 6 guys with size in FA or through trades.

I think if anything, we should keep taking BPA and hope that we get a late round gem that can be the icing on the cake of our solid young team

They are already over the cap for next season so they need to dump salary to resign players/improve their current team.

Sujet: Slafkovsky is gonna be great when he figures it all out

Even though Slaf didnt have a great rookie season, you can tell he has all the skills to excel in the NHL. He had a lot of "almost" plays where he made a move around one guy but got checked by the other, and as he gets older, stronger and smarter I'm sure he will have a long career with us.

Hrabal probably wont be as good as Swayman in his prime anyway, and wont be ready to be a full time started for around 6 years (assuming he's ready when turning 24).

Might be better to offersheet Swayman instead and give up only a second though.

Sujet: Dubois to MTL is inevitable

For a long time I was against moving the Florida pick, but because its confirmed to be outside the top 15 I'm open to it.

I wouldn't make any move until a lot closer to the draft just in case we are able to win the lottery and get a top center. Also, there's a good chance a solid player will drop given how talented this draft is and how some GM's will like to go off the board.

With that said I'm totally open to moving it in a Dach like move, but I wouldn't mind targeting a goalie like Hart or someone else.

Reinbacher at 5th? We should do bpa and I think that would be Benson, Smith than someone else. I don't think Reinbacher should be picked in the top 10 (same with ASP) but I think once a team who needs a dman drafts one of them, the other will go quick

Ave's pick is gonna prob be in the mid to late 20s, and our 2023 second rounder is probably going to be a top 40 pick. Why would we add all that just to move up probably around 10 spots in the draft (Eddy half retained prob gets a first on his own next year if he's healthy)</div></div>
