These two deals helps Dubas "stock pile" while trying to build core the core.

I know everyone says PLD isn't good and he's stubborn etc. But he has all the talent in the world, and he's a young guy I would love to take a gamble on. Surrounding him with legends like Crosby, Malkin, and fellow Quebecer Letang, should hopefully get him right.

    2. Puustinen, Valtteri [Droits de RFA]
    3. Rakell, Rickard
    4. Choix de 4e ronde en 2025 (PIT)
    Détails additionnels:
SEA gets a middle six winger that fits their system better than PIT's right now. He is playing hurt (which he should sit but won't) so a long offseason to recover will be great. Francis also gets two young NHL players that would slot perfectly in their middle six, as he is good at finding talent needing a change / more playing time.

Pass from LA, PLD has not looked so bad since the coaching change, besides if Blake makes any more bad moves he is likely gone.

NJD would be better off trading 2024 1st for Ullmark and even that is too much.

You guys will still have a 2nd round pick (which would be from 40-48 range).

I think Blake needs a much better return on Dubois or he might lose his job given all he gave up to get him. Also don't think Dubois is nearly as talented as you think. He's a capable 2nd liner, but he's not some young unestablished player with major upside potential either. Definitely needs to play in the top 6 to be worth his cap hit. Jersey probably isn't giving up their 1st for a solid and unspectacular goalie like Jarry. Especially as Jarry has a very strong history of fading as the season goes on either through play declining and/or injury. Not really what a contender wants to see.

Future considerations for me and most PIT fans. Just want the contract cleared. He's a HORRIBLE fit in Sullivan's system.

NJD -- Pick 13 + Foote (whatever he is) + Grit (2nd round value) for Jarry (starting goalie) + 2nd round pick (40-48 range). Can drop Foote if that makes you guys feel better. Jarry is on a good contract that fits perfectly with the core

Jarry has been getting **** on lately by the teams poor defensive structure. Thats more on Sullivan and coaching than anything.

The team defense wasn't good earlier in the season and Jarry was stealing games regularly. I know he's not an elite goalie, but that trend is consistent over his career at this point.

Jarry has a similar value to Vanacek and he got traded for a not too impressive package. I truly cannot see anyone paying more than a 2nd or 3rd for him. You are off your rocker if you think he will get 13th overall alone. The only goalies in the league getting that kind of package in return is Saros, Hellabuck, Markstrom, Shesty, Sorokin, and maybe Demko (But all of those goalies are not going anywhere other than maybe Markstrom or very very very maybe Saros)

I definitely don't want to move a top 15 people for a goalie I am luke warm at best on. There are other goalies that are comparable and shouldn't be as expensive. What goalie has ever gotten a top 15 pick ever?

The second doesn't justify that much though.I could see Jarry for Foote and like a 6th. Or a second alone. But you are not close here

I’m a big Barron fan but I would probably do this. Maybe replace him with Calgary’s first and an extra Ld (Harris, Trudeau or Engstrom)
