Don't forget Florida with knight, Wild with Gus, Saros who was literally on the market, Montreal who is also actively shopping goalies, Pittsburgh who's taking calls on their goalies, and CBJ who's goalie requested a trade, or LT from vegas

Panthers have Stolarz who's been quite good. They also have a desperate need for cap space.

LA is a wildcard team, they aren't moving their 1st and Turcotte (who finally looks ok) to go for it when they have 3 major injuries and running a goaltending tandem that costs less than $2M. Besides LA knows Toffoli very well, his defensive game has major issues and if he's paired with PLD that team is going to let a lot in.

Toffoli has doubled his offensive output since you last had him. The 1st would be playoff protected of course. Would take Turcotte+2nd but would then drop the 2nd coming back from jersey.

He's also a -11, we know who Toffoli is.

Heavily skewed by goaltending (0.870 on ice save%) and 16 empty netters against.

The devils generate 53% of xGoals with him on. Historically his defensive analytics are actually quite strong.

The point is, Kempe is much better for Kopitar and when he returns that will be his partner. Fiala is with Danault, which means Toffoli and PLD will be paired, and that pairing will be a disaster. Which is a moot point because the Kings areas of weakness is LD and goal, which is where they will be paying to improve. Toffoli became an option when it was rumoed Kempe would be out the season which paired with Arvidsson sounded like they needed more. Both are week to week and will push LA right to the cap.
